  1. Clutch feel alright in the couple of trips in and out of the driveway, and a little drive up the street. I don't know why people winge so much about buttons. Initial tune will just be on gate pressure so nothing crazy. 9 days.... Not that I'm counting or anything lol
  2. I'm in Hobart now mate so getting Kutsie at Pro automotive to do it.
  3. Dyno booked for 5th of Feb. Guess that gives me a couple of weeks to try and do something about the gear box leak 🙄
  4. Whoa! Convenient timing
  5. ... Until I realised I didn't actually put the throw out bearing and carrier in! Lol that could have been an epic failure, but luckily I realised now. Easy fix at this point.
  6. And with injectors/rail in, and top half of manifold on it's ready to drop in the car. Whoa!
  7. All new rubbers etc and into their new home. Luckily enough the RX7 550s use the same plug as the 7mge 315s, so I don't even have to change the wiring! Winning! Which isn't much of a suprise really considering both injectors use the exactly the same injector repair kit.
  8. Car is still at my parents so that's unfortunately not my shed. Dad's Ural in the background.
  9. For sure mate. I'll have some tuning to do, then run in and more tuning but hopefully going strong by Feb... Probably dreaming lol Tonight's progress: Removing spiggot bearings suck... So make a child do it! Lol Also a pic of new clutch plate. With any luck this one won't slip.
  10. What is the actual problem with the bonnet? And how is it any worse the a big scoop, a carby or even a supercharger?
  11. Back to 6 stud's again... Now to pick up were I left off 2 days ago!
  12. Maybe I should since we only have 1/8 mile here now 🤔
  13. Looks a bit more like a motor again! Tried to bolt the manifold on this afternoon and managed to pull a stud out of the head 🤬 will have to wait until Monday now to get a helicoil for it. Once I've done that, it's manifolds on, flywheel, clutch and gearbox and back in the car! Oh and have to change the pilot bearing as it's a bit tight and crunchy.
  14. Agreed. Mine got broken into while it's been off the road for the last 12+ months and they fucked the key barrel trying to start it..... I do wonder how long they tried though before they realised 1, it had no battery in it and 2, the big hole in the transmission tunnel indicated it has no gear box! They are stupid low life's as well! 🙄
  15. They are indeed. Been using them for probably over 10 years.
  16. Oh and just realised I never posted any pics of the damage...
  17. Had the junior mechanic on the job. Head on, and he helped me do valve clearances. It's looking more like an engine again now. Everything has been cleaned and painted again. Then once it's back in the car I'll give the alloy a polish again. Main changes this time are; Another half mm over (now 1mm from stock) Full balance New hdcb exedy - t18 200mm kit Pulling the 315cc injectors and dropping in some 550cc, since last time it was on the dyno we maxed them at 16psi
  18. .... And just over a year on... 😲 There be progress!
  19. I just gapped a set of rings for my 5k the other day. What clearance did you do them too? If you did it properly and they were fine sitting in the bores on their own then the problem must lie in the ring/piston combo! Got a set of verniers? Compare the ring depth to the groove in the piston.
  20. You didn't get one of my copper em30's banjo?
  21. Nothing special. Just go to your local nuts and bolts store and it'll likely be a 10c fix!
  22. Can't say it's not consistent! Make a good dial in racer
  23. Just go to foamland Murray St
  24. It would just need 2 leaf spring perches welded on in the right spot
