  1. I'm really, really enjoying it! I went and picked up some good quality gear and I've been riding a heap. Commuting to and from work everyday and riding every weekend for fun. The bike is more than enough fun to start off with! Almost too quick and seems to handle half decently. Lovin' it.
  2. I like the spotties. Glad you're going with different wheels though... Are you going to sort something out for better intake?

Might Car Mods have a sweet episode to teach you how to install those pins bro.
  4. I'm 21 and not getting any younger, I don't think I could keep up with the lifestyle of a Postie... Yeah, looks to be pretty straight forward! It's been sweet to play with this far. Would love to modern cafe this thing, I just don't think it's worth the effort. A general tidy up and I'll be sweet with it. Considering another seat pan for it though. Sorry bro, I don't think they do 4a powered 2 wheelers. I've heard almost nothing but good things about these things, can't wait to get more experience in. If you ever ride ultra long trip to the Gold Coast for whatever reason, we'll head out!
  5. Had this feeling like I was in a ground hog day type scenario with no freedom. A friend told me riding had this brilliant sense of freedom and fun, he was right. I wanted something out of a the norm of a Ninja or CBR250, I was going to go after a old CB250 to mod in to a cafe racer but I'll wait for my full licensing to get something neat. This is still pretty cool though. It's a Suzuki Bandit GSF250V. The only modifications are rejetted carbs, mirrors and the exhaust. My maiden voyage was getting it home from Brisbane in the peak hour traffic whilst it pissed down with rain - so that was a learning curve.
  6. Big fan, good choice. I'll get one of these one day. Solid that he refunded some cash, considering he knew you were going long distance in the heat at the time.
  7. I saw one of these parked up at a cafe this morning on my way to work. Tough looking bike. Mirrors are a huge improvement! Also not the biggest fan of that kit, just looks a bit tacky and cheap IMO. Agreed with the cafe style route. Anything you can do with the front indicators to neaten them up a little too?
  8. I was honestly looking forward to the Mclaren v. Porsche v. Ferrari showdown. Show is dead without Clarkson IMO. All in all, I'm a bit depressed about it. I found Top Gear pretty entertaining even if it was barely a car show. EDIT: Oh and also, if you guys like Roadkill, you might like DRIVE. Typical American car type show but they have a separate series for highly modified, muscle, stock etc.
  9. Pics or didn't happen.
  10. Yay. That is one beautiful bike! Cannot wait to pick up a bike as I've just finished my RE licensing.
  11. Matte black and has purists willing to write off a model... Is it some form of Harley? Or a ghetto Honda Postie? lol The suspense is killing me.
  12. You really are a form over function type guy aren't you...

    An..... update? wut.
  14. Much prefer these mirrors. :y:
  15. Keep going dude. Try not to rush it too much because it look like the work you are doing is to a good standard. A couple of bits of scrap metal with holes in both ends for bolts do wonders for mounting rads and fans, just do it neatly. Cheap and effective. If you bought an AE71 one though, it should fit with minimal convincing.
  16. Fitment is generally fine for cheaper extractors, generally they just need a little bit of convincing. Quality is paramount with anything exhaust manifold related though and that's what it usually sacrificed with the cheaper stuff, I'd rather spend the extra buck on a better brand extractors than cheap out. Better performance and not having your headers cracking is the way to go for me.
  17. You would probably be better off using a seat out of something a little smaller, you would struggle to fit large oldschool seats with the KE30 floorpan. An earlier Corolla seat and then using whatever rails would work. KE10 seats would work a treat. There was never bench seats for the KE30s etc, at least that I know of. Any good auto reupholsterer could surely rig up a frame to join two KE10 or similar together around the tunnel though, that would cost you a pretty penny though. With enough time and money anything is possible.
  18. I'm thinking about ditching the Kuhmo's, if I can't find new old stock RE001 I'll be looking at these.
  19. Looks awesome on those MA's!
