  1. Mocked up the engine mounts with carboard. Have been slow in getting stuff done. But the standard rolla had two punctures in the same morning so I painted my celica wheels and put them on.
  2. Agh yes. Seen this one. As my s2000 half cut was a 2001 model, its running the two pin honda diagnostic connector nd they need to be shorted ou to read fault codes. They may have changed it from 2003 onwards when the 2.2l came out in the states.
  3. The clubman will have a loose rear end when vtec hits mate.... it'll be a smoke machine :-). Unless you have 10 inch tyres on it ;-) Doing research I have found that for most guys running single exit, cat back, three inch exhausts on s2k's are getting an ATW 15hp-20hp increase. The standatd exhausts are a terrible design. Ive decided to run a straight through pipe on it now too. So should push it over 200kw at the flywheel
  4. Where did you get the device steve? Found a bloke in the US that was building them but stopped 6 months back caus it wouldnt work on US cars with obd2 connection... ecus completely different apparently
  5. On Wednesday I purchased the missing piece to my corolla stereo install. This type of Subwoofer was extremely hard to find as they are almost a 9 year old model. I wanted all my speakers to match so the install looked tidier. I apologise for the pic of the speakers being rubbish. Phone flash went AWOL. I kept some bits from my my11 WRX stereo setup as the usb interface installed in the wrx was very tidy. Will be installed in new transmission tunnel with S2000 console.
  6. New welder. whole setup only $350 brand new!!!!!!!! Still needs to be finished. welding 95% done on it. Just need to add taabs for engine mounts now
  7. The Paint is VHT high temp caliper paint, with their clear coat applied over the top. The first set of hilux calipers I did chipped very bad due to sitting in garage. I primered, coloured and clear coated as per manufactured instructions but still it flaked off. I called the manufacturer and they told me the primer is useless and just to colour. I still applied the clear though, as want the decals to stay on when cleaning the calipers. Just gopt new welder and crossmember is almost done now. Will post pics soon
  8. Now brakes are 95% complete. Only the rotors to buy now. 2005 transit ford rotors for fronts and ma70 supra rotors for rear. Transit ones need a lip grinded out o they bolts sit flat. Other then that good to bolt on. :) Also, due to the calipers having huge vent fins on the outside edge, I was informed that finding wheels to fit would be very difficult. But I tried my BF Falcon 16 inch steelies on the setup yesterday and they fit awesome :). So I'm hoping 95% of wheels that will fit to a Falcon will fit to my car.
  9. New HILUX S13WB brakes Modified engine crossmember
  10. Sounds good. So i presume that your old mounts were based around suspension bushes being nolathane. did you swap out your transmission mounts as well? Gunna be at any shows soon. I gotta check the rolla out.
  11. Where did you find those super low profile engine mounts. the second ones you built look great. Are they much softer then the first ones you built??
  12. nice mick. flawless work. How are the painted rotors holding up? have you had it at the track yet?
  13. I ended you getting a 130amp cigweld gas mig and an auto dark visor from masters hardware brand bew for $300. It was a fathers day special... can't say no to that price!!!! Ive seen that mick broke his tail shaft but I would have never imagined a honda engine breaking anything. A sewing machine has more torque... haha. Might be a different story supercharged :-)
  14. Some pics that have been left out. I mounted both the seats in the car and they only just clear the door trims..... I want to keep the s2k trans tunnel as it came from the honda for the strength.. Ill probably end up cutting the whole trans tunnel out of car so there will be much more room when the honda one is in there. Was also trying to achieve an impossible dream by doing panel work with a gasless mig.... not good. So my new CIG weld mig will arrived this week some time so i can start to clean up my own mess!!!! NEVER GASLESS MIG A CAR BODY... DISASTER.... The perils of learning i guess
  15. Cheers mick. Progress has been slow lately due to low bank account and needing to buy a new welder. Ive gone down the path of putting the S2k transmission tunnel into the corolla and It will be extended right back underneath the rear EVO seats. I had to sell my new WRX to enable my build so i want it to be as modern as possible. With the S2K tunnel and ke30 dash together in the car there is only about an in ch of space between then. There also isnt much room for the front seats, as recaro seats are built for skinny people, but for some reason the seats are extremely wide. When the new welder turns up I will finish the crossmember. Pics of your car have been very helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Instead of attaching checkerplate to the bottom of the cross member though, I will be welding some three mm sheet to plate where I have cut and will be welding six mm plate under the engine mounts. As I am only a beginner welder, I need tgo make the job as easy as possible for myself. Pics to come later tonight
  16. Yeah mate. Its a pain in the arse to fit. But as I have welded the s2000 trans tunnel into the corolla i thought id use as much honda as possible. I have the full wiring harness going in, lengthened and shortened in different places to fit the four door body. I'm installing the s2000 dash controls and the indicator and washer stalks. All the door locks are honda as is the fuel pump. The s2k pedals, booster and master cylinder are also in there. Its different but very time consuming.
  17. Ive just purchased ke20 license plate lights for my rear bar. All new Superpro bushes are on the way and ive cut the engine crossmember appart. Hoping to get some more done this weekend. In half way through polishing all the engine ancillaries and have started to remove the casting marks from the gear box. I'm hoping that when its all polished, that i can keep it polished and with no texture left on the aluminium, it should be fairly easy to upkeep with a touch of polish. I have sourced some S13WB hilux calipers and they are being refurbished and they will be mated to the xt130 coilvers with a ford transit front brake rotor. Havent achieved much on the car lately as my job has been pretty fullon lately. Pics to come soon.
  18. Just easier to use the cluster :-). I'm running the whole s2000 wiring harness, all the air conditioning gear and all its controls.
  19. All new floor pan.... there isnt any corolla left appart from the body... epic project mate. I'm keen to see it finished. Great work :-)
  20. So I'm bout to order my suspension from shockworks in melbourne. It consists of xt130 spindles welded to ae86 coilvers with s13 silvia strut tops. Will be running the ae86 rear shocks too. Just without the coil and the spring seat. Should look overrated and goes great with my planned colour scheme ;-D will post pics when they arrive
  21. So ive managed to snare a good condition bonnet with chrome vents, ship from a bloke in queensland for $150. Was a great score. But when toll shipped it the ends of the bonnet got bent!!!!! bit of a pain in the ass but still in pretty good condition. The webbing on the underside is still stuck to the outerskin so bonus!!!!
  22. Gearbox mount half done. Hopefully finish next weekend along with engine mounts.
  23. Have now finished cutting out dash to fit the s2000 cluster. I cut a piece of the Honda cluster surround out to use so I can neatly recess the cluster and so it have a bit of shade from the sun. These dashes are a nightmare to see in sun light. The f20c will not start without a standard s2000 cluster... Have also purchased some steel to fabricate my transmission and engine mounts. I will be using 26mm suspension bushes in my trans mounts and 45mm suspension bushes in my engine mounts.
