  10. heathen!! youd dry ya ass on the toyota flag?? off with his balls!! :)
  11. hehe go the fords!! i think that corona is about to be seriously poohed....... :)
  12. its amazing how far you can launch a car and get away with it... years ago i launched my ae92 levin off a stop bank (road went over it) at 100kmh.... stop bank was about 7-8 feet high.... i fluked the perfect speed, we would have flown about 10 metres at least.... didnt even skip the cd player.... mates wanted me to go back and try it again, i didnt wanna tempt fate! id say they landed it ok, but the ae86 i reckon wouldve needed a wheel alignment...
  13. haha yeah heaps of toyotas here, i think youll find there are heaps of fords and holdens here, at the mo total vehicle sales to date are toyota 1st ford 2nd and holden 3rd. when you look at passenger car sakes its ford, holden then toyota. and thankfully hyundais are thin on the ground here :) although there are quite a few as reps vehicle. must suck to be a sales rep!
  14. haha the caribs are corolla based, so the one you want would be the z touring or simaler... blacktop 20v with 6 spd  or auto  but the 4wd ones arent avail with the 20v the caldinas are on the same platform as the coronas, can get those with the 3sgte :) and they are 4wd my mates got one, tiptronic, very good touring car
  15. ha! youre all soft! minus 1 or 2 here over night. and i sleep with my window open :) nelsons at the top of the south island, bout as far as you can get from wanaka with out crossing the straight
  16. cutting up an ae86 might get a few people rather upset.... :)
  17. hey welcome to nz, are you heading up to nelson? let me know if you are and we can arrange a meeting. chch is a bit cold for me at the moment... dunno how your handling it! but i froze when i was there a coupla weeks ago!
  18. i hated it, you had to flick or power it round corners, i lived in a st with the lanes divided by a big centre division, i had to do u turns all the time, not fun in a locker!! they are ok for rally cars but personally i think they are horrible on the street
  19. well yes there is that little detail! sorry
  20. actually there were some earlier ones i think... left the damn book at home, there was a te2# something, toyota rallied them in the early 70s.
  21. locked diff eh? i had a mk1 esky with a locked diff... NEVER AGAIN! my god what a pig on the road! yeah id be keeping an eye on that thread, see if it happens. it maybe possible in the future that we can do them cheaper, if i sea freight them i get a large discount which i can pass on, but at this stage TRD are not set up for seafreight. ill always do the best prices i can, but if you can get better deals elsewhere then i fully expect you to go that way... but id like to know, then i can see if i can do any better.... sometimes if i bug toyota enough they give in:)
  22. i don't see how they can do that.... thats very very cheap! please note the price i quoted was in nz so will be a little cheaper in oz dollars... i see hes doing a bulk buy... IF thats true then whoever hes getting them off is making about $5! i can approach toyota and see if they will better there price, but id need a confirmed order of several. might pay to keep an eye on that thread.... see if its real
  23. thats cool, i know the difference betwen the early and late TRD ones as long as the custy does!!
  24. cool to be honest 99% of those are so old we never get asked for parts for them! let alone sell any! but after all that, there are 2 sizes of ae86 axleshaft , thats what i need the model and frame numbers for when ordering.. to ensure i send the correct one... i don't wanna sell any one a $1300 diff they can't use!!
  25. my infos from the toyota epc :) i understood oz got a few ae86s with 4ages (like 100) but they wernt something anyone could buy. but i may be wrong there... and yes it was only 4age ones that got the discs the problem i have at times is 't' series and 's' series more often than not means nothing to toyota... the epc doesnt say anything about them if it wasnt for my own knowledge id be stuffed at times!
