  1. I have a silvertop 20V running a standard 20V ECU on a modified loom. Makes great hp, uses very little fuel. Get the right ECU for the engine.
  2. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/57100-wtb-efi-pump/ Happy New Year guys, mine will be happier if someone can help me with the above...
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VQ_engine#VQ23DE 6 cylinder, (ok, its a v6) 2.3 litre, 127kW stock, being VQ series SHOULD bolt up to a 300zx tranmission
  4. Not sure about K series, but I cut T engine mounts off x member and welded them onto and A series x member. Was dead easy, even had one hole in common between the mounts, so you basically couldn't f@$k it up.
  5. Seem to remember a 7age 20V uses a standard 16V 4age timing belt, but I am getting old, LOL
  6. Did a little bit of digging, a couple of people in NZ have looked at 6A series mitsu engines and converting them to rwd applications. Would be rather difficult to do. http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23558&view=next
  7. a/ I made one just by bolting a 4age head straight onto a 7afe complete bottom end. Standard everything. Ran fine, drove like a 4age with a bit more bottom end pull. Exhaust has to be modified to clear sump for fwd applications, cambelt is Porsche 944 item for 4age 16V heads. b/ Apparently the weakest part of the 7afe rods is the big end bolt attachment and this can be modified to accept stronger attachment (ARP stud and nuts?) Also standard Bigport 4ages start running out of puff before 7000 rpm, so unless you are planning to really flog it a lot, it MIGHT NOT be worth the expense of custom rods. (Just don't blame me if you build one and it craps itself, lol)
  8. Japanese V6? Mivec FTO 2 litre v6 is 147kW...
  9. TE71 shell only, 4age gone. Would be a waste to go to Sims...
  10. Thinking of offloading my ultra-rare, ultra-rusty TE71 shell. Will be rolling with TE72 shit underneath it. Can also be sold with a fwd bigport 4age that needs a rebuild but is complete with ecu loom etc. Have a TE72 shell and MIG welder (needs new gun) to throw in. Thinking $800 the lot, $400 minus engine. Any interest?
  11. Thanks mate, might give that a whirl.
  12. AE82 Twinky. Did a gearbox swap. Speedo made a bit of a racket on first drive. Now ODO works, but speedo sits permanently between 180 km/h and off the clock. Any ideas?
  13. Well there you go. The 20 valve swap IS a very common one. You would have a lot of help available if you do one. Maybe see if you can go for a ride in one before you make up your mind? 7afe turbo? There was a limited run, Australia only AE 111 (I think) Corolla Sportivo that ran a 7afe turbo setup from the factory, so it definitely can be done. I have heard that replacement parts for this model are hideously expensive, so don't expect to be able to walk into Toyota and just buy turbo bits. There are a couple of guys on here with these cars too. Do the research and either way you will be happier with the result. Peace, Mark
  14. No engine swap is easy. I suspect given the large amount of time and money that would be needed to do a 20 valve swap, you would be dissappointed with the result. I personally think a low boost turbo setup on your 7afe (maybe need to be rebuilt?) would be better bang for buck.
  15. Should be a 4AGE engine, not a 7AFE, never heard of a 7AFE swap into an MR2. Never heard of spinning the shifters around to suit MR2s can you be more specific about what you do exactly?
