Yes is has been a while since any progress. Things are back on track, so here is a sneak peak at the new 6 into 1 manifold.
  2. Am I correct in saying that the pajero master will only bolt to the ke30 and 35 smaller diameter boosters? Or am I able to put one on my ke55 that has the larger booster and the rectangular reservoir? I would prefer to use the pajero master over the commodore to obtain the 15/16 I'm after but its looking like a no go at this stage. Thanks Neil
  3. Is that the SKU: SRK-120H NRG short hub? If not do you happen to have the part number? I've been looking into a NRG setup for my 1jke55 but was not yet 100% sure if that part would fit as NRG only has listings for 1984 corolla onwards. Currently I am waiting to hear back from a heap of emails I have sent asking numerous suppliers about fitment to a ke55. cheers Neil

  5. i had the same happen years ago on a well tuned stock 4k. turned out to be water in the fuel and lots of it. try emptying out the filter onto the hot cement to find the fuel evaporate and the water stay behind. I'm sure there is another method but this was the tell tail sign for me. i found the filter half full no shit! if you find any water then follow what i did to solve the problem. i drained all the fuel in to a couple of buckets, blew compressed air through the fuel lines, changed the filter, put 500mL of metho in then put the fuel back in. without the water of course which is heavier than fuel and will stay together in the bottom of your bucket. this should get you going well but not perfect until the metho does its work on whats still in the system, still in the tank and more importantly in the bowl of the carby! i would keep a spare filter on hand for a couple of weeks and a little metho turns out i had about a liter from the dodgy fuel station. six months later they dug the tanks out, funny about that.. good luck neil
  6. try replacing the condenser. back in the day of points i was reminded by my dad that the points have a protective coating on them similar to what you have to clean off new brake rotors. try taking them out and hit them lightly with some 2000 grit and then a little carby clean on a cloth. the 2000 wont damage the new points considering its finer than a points file. this is something i always did when installing new points on my 4k. other tips running a 100% standard 4k stock point gap ngk bp5es set to 1.2mm and 11deg timing gt40 coil being the only modification don't forget to double check and reset the points after a few days as they tend to close up a little after installing new ones. ( has happened to me slightly before, not a major issue but if your trying to get the most out of your 4k then you will want to check) remember to set your timing again!
  7. rollaclub does not delete anything because.......? thats right, hits on the site =$$$ especially from those new popups that shxt everyone to tears. you only have to misplace your mouse for a second and there it is.. random advertising. given that I'm sure there is a delete button for this post having to edit a post to nothing sometimes is the only option rollaclub provides. unless the the big wigs want to allow us to delete our own posts instead of editing them. outrageous!
  8. after fixing a little belt slip i have managed to find another 3psi up the top end. while cruising i also found myself shocking one of my friends who drives a 190kw wrx. who would have thought....

sad to say but this project is having to be moved into storage and on hold until further notice to make room for an up and coming crash repair shop. :bash:

  12. Here is a recent dyno run showing just how fast this car gets to redline from 3000rpm in fourth gear. Mind you that never happens on the streets of Adelaide :fuzz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM1nFWwrY08

  14. one of these http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/375647821/TOYOTA_cylinder_head_gasket_for_Corolla.html and a little Hylomar should do the trick i have a very talented mate that has done the majority of the fab work including the SC14 bracket and pully tensioner. without a tensioner giving more circumference coverage for the belt it will slip at around 12 psi. unless you put your back into tightening the belt which is probably not a good idea when its strapped to the balancer and you will be back to where you started in about a week when the belt has stretched. speaking from experience of course :bash:
