Spotted this KE11 yesterday at Victor Harbor next to the reserve where the Rock'n Victor car show was held. Has a rollaclub sticker on it. Also spotted the Hachi-Roku further down at U-Pull-It at Lonsdale today. Nothing like pulling bits off cars in the rain. :y:
  4. Faaaaaaaar Ouuuuuuuuuuuuut !!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is something special. I love the yellow walls with the purple....... love the wheels and stance.......... love the venetian............ great work mate all round. Would like to see some interior shots and engine bay if it is half as good as the rest of the car. There's a fine line with older cars and trying to go for a modern modified styling and i think you have pulled it off very nicely.

Spotted a stock as a rock KE20 today on Anzac Hwy at Glenelg turning onto Tapley's hill Rd. Orange with Black louvre thing on outside of back window. Looked good apart from the louvre thing.
  6. Holy Crap !!! You should be real proud of that so far mate. Looks excellent. I wish I had that sort of energy.
  7. Slam it.... watanabe it..... hk monaro style silver racing stripe front to back..... lose the side mouldings....... cruise it !!! Usually I would say every car needs whitewalls and a venetian, but I reckon this thing would look cool with a race/rally theme.
  8. Niiiiiiiiiice !!!!!! Lovin the white 11. Looks great with the double whites. Makes me think I shoulda gone doubles on mine, but I didn't. Definately keen to see how the 10 progresses. I like the idea of it being restored to factory. What colour are you going to go with?

Last night dark blue ke11 parked in a side street in the Edwardstown area. I am in and around this area all the time and never seen this car before. Wasn't in great condition but I still wanted it.
  10. Nice pick up. I haven't seen one of these things around for a very very long time. In fact I'd forgotten about them. Great looking car. I like the look you will be going for too. just add fender mirrors and I will be jealous as. :)
  11. Hell yeah !!! Agree with you on going with the rarer option. Still sounds like a lot of work though.
  12. Looks great with those headlights.... and those wheels are awesome. Jeezuz.... all these cool 70's popping up on here.............. you guys are making me think I should get me one :)
  13. Absolutely perfect !!!!! Will cost you a little less on tyre shreddage too :)
  14. Do It Do It !!!!! It looks soooo good !!!!
  15. Hey great post. You've done heaps. Don't be sorry for your English. I'm not too sure if it's just cos it's upside down but I can't read the newspaper shown in one of the photo's in the 1st post. :jamie: Keep up the good work and keep putting up the pics.
  16. Just a couple pics I found from a show earlier this year in USA. Had to share cos I reckon these two wagons look awesome.

Sensational Beige KE20 this morning at Moana. Slammed, Venetian blind and whitewalls on stock rims. Super cool !!!!

Brown KE20 or maybe 25 (still trying to learn the diff) on Winston Avenue at about 5:45pm as I was heading home tonight. Low, tinted windows and five spokes usually seen on a later model car. Looked good.
  19. Could come down a few inches.... :sob:
  20. :no2:  :) Three thumbs up to you for saying that !!!! Mate I don't really like KE70's, never have.......... I have just read right the way through this ten page thread only to work out whether your signature actually meant anything. I gotta say..... your car is cool as hell. It actually makes me think I could own a 70. You've done a sensational job. The stance, the rims, the fender mirrors and the chrome bumpers all look superb....... add to that an engine swap which caused you a few headaches and you not only have a cool car that I wish I owned, but you have learnt a heap in the process. Gotta say that I am also impressed that you and the old boy have been working on this together. That's cool.
  21. One of these sold on eBay USA a few months ago and if my memory serves, it said that it was from a 60's FJ Landcruiser. I want it !!!! I wanted the one off eBay, but it went too high and postage to AUS on top woulda got me killed dead by the lovely lady. :no2:
  22. Jeez, quick work with the post. I reckon you got yourself a pretty good deal on this car considering the hours of time that charl put into it. Will be interested to see what you do to it. I personally would like to see it get a whole lot closer to the earth. ;) Perhaps go the full hotrod flavour and do some scalloping down the sides, red rims, whitewalls and hit it with a hammer until the sills are touching your driveway.... haha..... well lower it some anyways :jamie: Oh and you gotta do some pinstriping on the boot and bonnet to complete the hotrod package.
  23. Good progress so far. I gotta vote for the gloss black too....... Flat black is way too popular now. Just my 2 though. Having said that...... flat black or satin black, red rims, whitewalls and serious slammage never goes outta fashion.
