Well...thats alot to follow! I'm Ben, Ive lived in SE Queensland all my life (yea all 17 years!) 15 of that spent in the little country town of Esk on 8 acres and access to probably thousands! I have a sorta freaky birthday being September 11 (11-09-85) but last year was alright...no one was too busy bitching about the terror attack to forget :D Ive been interested in cars for a fair while and more thoroughly interested in the last 6-12 months. Got my first car when I was...umm...shit....12? I think it was. Had it for 3-4 years but then had to sell it because we moved to the city. It was a Holden Belmont HZ with a Red motor. Mad to burn around the paddock in! The car department was dry for a few years until I got my learners. LOVED driving...drove every second I could! Got my P's first go with 2 crosses for "failing to indicate" (hey...so I indicated late!). The guy being one of dads old work mates had nothing to do with me passing! I SWEAR (no sarcasm intended). A few months ago my grandparents got a new car and gave me the corolla I learnt how to drive a manual in to me! :D I accually didnt used to like corollas but I guess its an aquired taste for me. But now I LOVE my corolla. It was in a pretty shithouse condition when I got it. Ive tuned the engine, replaced a few consumables (oil, all the filters, tyres and so on) and now I'm about to replace and upgrade the gearbox from a K-40 to a K-50. Needs a new radiator and probably new rockers and some other shit. Its been around the clock once already (99,999 miles). Ive put 6000 miles on the clock already and am probably gonna put many many more on (how about around the clock again). I'm currently "studying" a Diploma of Information Technology with the view to upgrading to a Bachelor of Information Technology at QUT. I'm currently a pizza delivery driver (go on laugh) but at least it pays the bills for the car and provides for me to put some upgrades on it. I live with my parents and have no view to move out in the near future. I'm happy where I am. Well thats me in a nutshell!

I know a chick that drives a celica (the one that backed into me) but she aint very car technical so she probably wont come on here. Oh and good to see you too are working it out :D

They seem to be notorious for not putting the steering wheel straight. (but at least they did a free wheel alignment which wasnt exactly orderd) Thats the way mother nature get it all outta your system before sunday!!! According to the Bureau of Meterology friday and saturday will be fine and 23oC can't find a 5 day outlook but I guess sunday will be fine too! HERES HOPING!

I sure hope its as easy as popin a pipe back on! (then makin sure it stays there) I presume its not suckin oil does it boost about the same as it used too at similar rpm?

When i get my gearbox and engine mods goin with my rolla then I REALLY wanna enter a tar rally (a Targa style one) but I don't really wanna go to tazzy. The noosa hill climb or mt cotton hill climb might be what I'm lookin for. Id be in for a rolla club entry....i could be your...umm....junior engineer :D

hehehe madness! The fastest ive ever gone in a road car was 150km/h in a commie....so i think 160km/h in my rolla is umm a death wish!!

my mate used to have his little desktop scanner (from the 80's) listening to the coppers at yamanto relaying it through msn to me (as text). There was some freaky stuff going down. He didnt so much want a scanner to avoid the cops (as nice as that is) but its good entertainment!

I think I'm gonna be going through a helluva lot of batteries! Edit - I just remembered I have one of those battery chargers that you can charge normal batteries in W00T

As far as I know its pretty much exactly the same as the K-40 box (Same ratios for 1, 2, 3 and 4) just with 5th gear. So hopefully I should bolt up with no problem. An superjamies faq says: K-40: All 4-speed K-series Corollas and Starlets K-50: All 5-speed K-series Corollas and Starlets, 86 Corolla Levin (3A-U/4A-U some) So aslong as toyota decided to keep the same bolt pattern and shifter position etc then it'll be a bit like changing a clutch...which I have to do anyway. I guess if I set aside a day then I can put it in and if it doesnt go well then there will be enuf time to put the old box back in. GOTTA make it to this cruise...just that 110 in a 4sp is a 4100rpm job
