Hey guys, just fitted a ke55 cluster in my ke36 as it was a lot cleaner, but now my petrol gauge and temp gauge are on full and sometimes go right down then back up full again, what could cause this?

Hi all, I have a 1979 ke55 corolla sedan with a 4k motor. My clutch recently burnt out, at the worst time (330am whilst heading into town to pick up the missus), anyways I have a clutch on the way and I have no idea how to change it out, I managed to order a gregory manual for the ke55 to come with the clutch kit, just seeing if I could get some help and advice from here. Like what tools will I need, what fluids should I buy before I start etc. Also if people have good knowledge of how to do it, a step by step guide would be awesome! Cheers people, looking forward to the help

Hey all Wondering if anyone has done any hydraulic handbrake set ups. Main reason i ask is to see how it performs with drums on the rear. I can hook it up all good just don't know if its going to be worth it.

Hey guys. Finally got the 5k into my ke55 that i had been working on for a while (the conversion). It is running, and drives- but not well and makes a crazy noise. The noise is like a fast tapping/ rattling noise coming from some where in the middle of the motor. Could anyone suggest what the noise may be, and how sinister it may be? I built the motor myself, it has: -5k block with 5k rods, lifter etc (hydro) -5k SHALLOW DISH pistons -5k DEEP DISH head (standard) -4k valves/ springs (standard) -25/65 270* cam grind -rollamaster timing chain kit -4k ancillaries -shimmed oil pump As far as i can guess the noise may be piston rattling or something because of the huge compression. Any other ideas? Also, the motor does not easily rev far past 4000 revs, not that i have been game to push it. I have the deep dish pistons here but i was initially going to use a 4k head, hence going with shallow dish pistons, and want to avoid swapping them out!

Hi all, I have recently purchased a ke55 and a s14 sr20 half cut in sweet nick! I have stripped both car and half cut and are heading in the xt 130 corona arms and strut with ra60 vented disks . The thing is I can't seem to get any info on Crossmembers? is the original ok? 1. Do I have to modify ke crossmember/ engine mounts? 2. is there a cross member with an easier set up of brakes and suspension as I will have to change calipers and pads? Let me know any help will be appreciated!!
