Hi guys, hope someone can explain . I have a rebuilt 5k with the following been done. bored 20" bottem end fully balanced Wade 446b cam std 3k big port head (shaved 60") extractors distributor recurved 180 holley (32/36) when we had it on the dyno we had 91hp @ rear wheels we have since upgraded to a single 40mm DCOM weber 32mm chokes (remanufactured & looks like new) & redline manifold (new) purchased through a very reliable company. & now we have 87hp @ the rear & lost power right through the range. (same dyno used ). the guy from the dyno thinks the carby is too big & is going to try smaller chokes 30mm & 28mm, but my question is how do others use twin 40mm with no problems & do they actually make more power ? Thanks for any insight into this problem as I have just spent $800 for no gain in power.

Hello all. I have recently inherited a ke70 off my grandfather(with 66xxxkm on the clock!!!) and I am in the process of doing a couple of mods to it. I have just ordered some king springs for her and I'll be doing a carb soon. But wile under the car looking around I noticed all the rubber bushings seemed to be falling apart so I'd like to replace them while I have it up on stands. I have no idea what they're all called though, could someone point me in the direction of what I need and a store I could get them all from? Thanks!

2000 Forester GT. 206kKm 2 owner. Mechanically sound and body solid. Just replaced: timing belt, tensioner, idlers, water pump, cam cover gaskets, F & R discs and pads, steering boots, PCV valve, gear selector linkage, spark plugs. Engine and gearbox oils and coolants. Minor scratches and scrape on body but overall good condition. Interior GC. New tyres and suspension 18 months ago. Imported model bought as a repairable writeoff for $10500 in 2006. Has sat in a couple of backyards under a tarp since then. Damage to left door and rear quarter and a couple of minor bits, parts from non import model fit without modification. Right side is ok. Daily driver while the ke35 is still in nz and the ke30/55 is in need of panel & paint. Mazda Bongo/Ford Econovan Slammed on 17s with a bit of dish Painted custom green metallic with gold pearl similar to holden "poison ivy" Missus drives it every day.... Good for picking up stuff!!!! Turned out alright for a $600 van!

Hey guys ive recently bought some ae86 front struts and as didnt get the front brakes or hubs with it am I able to use the ae86 front hubs with ke70 discs. I havent got the ae86 hubs to be able to measure the rear where the discs locate on the hubs. If someone can measure it or can tell me if they fit would be much appreciated. Thanks matt

hey guys and gals I'm just inquiring for a good friend of mine. has anyone ever seen or heard of any ms65 crowns racing in historic group n class? my friend is looking for something a bit different to race in the same class he runs his rx2 at the moment and if we can find any proof of them racing in this class previously and successfully we may consider building one :) any help would be great. cheers madke35

WILL TAKE BEST OFFER BY THE END OF THIS WEEK! NEED IT GONE! NO ROOM AND TOO MANY CARS. 2000 Model AUII Ford Falcon Forte' 227XXX, Auto, Cruise Control, Power Windows (temperamental) Air con, Tow Bar ect. HAS NO REGO OR RWC. Bought a Ve so no longer needed this so let the rego expire. Needs 2 tyres, rear pads, and a small window chip fixed to what I can tell. Has loads of new part in the last year of me using it. New water pump New Coil Pack New Front Tyres New wheel Bearing New High Pressure Power steering hose New Throttle positioning sensor and gear box service Reco gearbox costing $2000!! Reco alternator Reco Radiator New thermostat and fulll coolant flush at time of new radiator Runs overrated but has a few problem like all 13 year old car- Front power windows are temperamental and only work sometimes but i just use the air con Roof lining is coming down, rest of the interior is overrated few small dents and scratches nothing major. as said needs 2 tyres, rear pads, window chip fixed, could use new rear rotors if youre picky. AS SAID MAKE AN OFFER AND THE BEST OFFER WILL TAKE IT. I'm OVER GETTING STUFFED AROUND BY PEOPLE WANTING TO LOOK AT IT AND NOT SHOWING SO ONLY OFFER IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY AND WANT IT. Hey guys. I have been trying to fit a pair of standard KE70 seats into my Panelvan but it looks like they aren't going to bolt in... I have spoken to a couple of Panno experienced friends and they seem to think that they should. I tried to bolt them in with and without the inner rear spacer but they are still off enough so the rails won't bolt up. Does the Panelvan have a unique floor plan or something? I really want to get some standard seats in for Roady and reg this week so help would be much appreciated. I also have a pair of KE70 seats with ke30(?) rails on them and they won't line up, not to sure if they are the same rails. Six pack of your choice to the bloke that can help me get something to work for roady. Quite desperate. If your close to me (Elanora, QLD) and could come lend a hand if modding is needed (serious lack of tools on my behalf) that would also be great.| Cheers.

Hi all, I'm in need of a carby tune on a dyno. The carburetors are Mikuni CV ITB's (off a GSX1100R I believe) and they're strapped to Phil's twin cam 4K. They're currently running very lean due to changing the air filtration system and it looks like it's gonna need a whole new set of jets/needles to be selected. I need to know two things: Is there someone around Brisbane who is capable of getting these just right, and what am I expecting to pay? I've been told it's not gonna be cheap, but I'd really like to know how much roughly it will cost. Thanks!

*******STOLEN******* Please be on the lookout for the wheels pictured, they were taken from our workplace (Road and Track) on Jan 2nd at 11pm, police know who they are as a neighbour disturbed them and got the rego of the vehicle and police also took a blood sample found from when they cut themselves on the fence. Now the problem is is that the Police can't find the wheels so it isn't a 'theft' and apart from the Simmons, these wheels are almost impossible to find. Details are: B45 simmons, commodore stud pattern, 1 may still be separated. Enkei 13" wheels, 4x114.3 stud pattern, only took 3 15" Compomotive centre lock race wheels, very very rare and were made for the TOM's race car. Weds multispoke wheels, were actually 4 stud and I cannot remember the size. Any info, please PM me.

Hey all, Let me start by saying that I put the "rat rod" in quotation marks as that this word has been basterdized and I realise that what I'm referring to is not actually a rat rod. It's just the generally accepted term now. Anyway, having recently watched the latest mighty car mods ep, they rust up an old golf to give it the rat rod look. My question is, is this legal? I know it would be a beacon for the police anyway, but as long as you're not breaking the law that shouldn't be a real problem. Just annoying I guess. Has anyone done this or have any experience with these types of road laws?
