springersrolla Posted February 25, 2009 Report Share Posted February 25, 2009 hey lads I'm doing up my 4k and i need to find out which of the blocks in the "How to build a tough k motor" forum, and ive got this paragraph from it> There are also two different types of 4K block, one has three very noticeable ribs below the manifold side welsch plugs, just like a 3K if you can have a look at one. The other has small ribs and a large flat area. The unribbed block is far weaker, if you have one of them, scrap it. any ways before i go further can anyone tell me that if my block is this ribbed stronger block or not??? There used to be a bloke in Victoria who was well known for building screamer 4K's. He used to play "dot to dot" with the welsh plugs on the un-ribbed blocks.
