Thanks guys.

looking good. more matt quality attention to details. is that front bar fiberglass or just white? this thing is going to be a weapon once you have it ready.

It's just a plastic white bumper with some lower sections cut out. I actually like it better with the sections cut out :)

More updates people.

I have gotten much of the motor back together now. Just need to do ignition, install radiator and fans, crossmember and new front and rear engine mounts and some other fiddly bits and pieces. Should be running by tomorrow afternoon, and maybe even club rego by the end of the week!

And here is my $300 instruction guide on how to put it back together. Running and all!

Did the $300 cover postage and handling charges :laff: These cars will be worth a bit one day.

Haha, considering kexx series cars have only pikced up on price recently I don't think we'll be seeing the same thing with tincans for a while!

Anyway more progress. Car has not being started yet but it is almost there. Today I fitted the new front and rear engine mounts and put the crossmember in. Fitted the exhaust manifold and center section as well as swapping over the bumper from the parts car. All that remains is to set up the dizzy and fit radiator and radiator hoses :)

She lives! Got the beast started today and no issues so far except for a weak starter motor. Driving it on an unregistered vehicle permit until next week when it'll be going on club rego :) It got a polish tonight and still have to do other odds and ends like fit the grille and miscellaneous interior odds and ends.

By the way it's so good to have another car in the backyard, it's like having your own pick-a-part!

Pics.

When is your sister going to take it for a run Matt? ;)

Bbbbrrrrraaaaahhhahahahahaha!!!!

I thought Matt said it was his car. But then he'd also said he was a mechanic. Are you sure your not a hairdresser?

Lol.

But seriouslly why wouldn't you just use the parts car for your sis and ditch that dirty pulsar. I'm getting a little worried about you mate, first the pulsar then the 200b. Your not going to the dark side are you?

Good to hear she's running all good mate hope to see her

soon.

Stu.

Haha definitely no doark side mate ;) Got some more stuff done on the weekend. Scored some lowered king springs on pedders gas struts, so I wacked them in. And yesterday I chucked the grille on. Club rego/plates this week and then I can finally run it in properly!

Seems like a pretty cool little project you have going on there :)

Out of interest, how much was the club rego compared to normal rego?

Thanks mate. Club rego has different rules and regulations in different states. here in Vic we now have the 45/90 day permit options. You can use the vehicle up to 45 or 90 days depending upon which type you choose. These days must be log booked with times and areas you are travelling. To get this you need to have a vehicle 25 years or older and be part of an accredited car club that is part of the club permit scheme. It costs around $110 for the year if i'm correct.

More progress today, rear window regs are now 'fixed' and the rear windows don't slide down anymore :) Also fitted a fully hecktik pod filter ulehz.
