hi guys

a lot of you would already know my car or remember it from my conversion thread, but i thought i better do a real rides thread

ive got a whats started out as a beaten up old ke55, which i thought was awesome at the time, which had a stolen 3t-c with extractors and 32/36 weber on it

it went OK but the t50 was farked and the whole stolen thing put a gigantic spanner in the works, so a mate of mine was doing a ca18det convo on his de powered s13, and i bought everything he didnt need any more for the massive sum on $300

so the stolen motor and shitty box came out to make way for the ca18de (also painted the bay green, i was going to paint the this colour, hok lime time pearl, which the rest is for sale if anyone wants it)

rolla stayed like this for ages, until my stupidity, putting too wide a tyre on the rear, smashed all the bog and rust out of the guards, the whole car was in realy poor shape, it looked ok from a distance, but really needed some work

there was more rust that needed to be sorted too, so i pulled it off the road to fix it up. got a bit into fixing it and then i lost interest (body work is balls) and i was having trouble with what to do with one on the rear guards, it was really bad

it sat like this for nearly 18 months, then a Tate's wedding, i got some motivation back, and i needed it done for the 5th GOR cruise

so i went like a cut cat, fixed all the bodged repairs

then came putting it back together, got a few goodies to go with it

rebuilt the front end, including kyb excel-g st185 inserts, 6.25kg 200mm free height springs shortened struts buy 40mm, t3 camber tops and spring hats, ae86 steering arms and GH sigma control arms

got ke36? bonnet, fender mirrors, chin spoiler and modified the rear vents and covered them all in the 3m ni-doc carbon wrap

ba side indicators, cleared the fronts, and resprayed the rears, and wrapped the surrounds

all new rubbers and locking strips, all chrome work was loving polished by the one and only teddy (thanks very much for that man :y: )

and the best bits, new wheels 16x8 +0 offset and te27 flares

so here is how it stands now

cheers guys

will do matt

went to mates today a checked out the compression, as expected, shes f@$ked

stock comp is ment to be 199psi, acceptable is 171 psi, mine is as follows

1=165, 2=155, 3=130, 4=160, and oiled was 1=175, 2=175, 3=150, 4=175

so looks like i have ring and head issues

would explain the rough idle and lack of power

saving up over then next couple of months and going to go a liitle crazy with her, with a bit of "correct induction", as teddy would say

Well bout time for a bit of a rides thread poz. You've had those photos for a long time mate.

Been getting to spy on this last resto every now and then and it's ssooooo much better in person. Not one bit sets it apart not the flares, wheels, stance, carbon bits or colour, it's more like everything works together for the sickest ke55 I've seen period!!

Hehe Get some cans and I'll come and do the donk for ya even though it's a dirty datto engine.

hahaha well we'll see how much money i can get up for it, but it should be staying naturally aspirated, and hopefully as lumpy as it is now, just not shit

first thing to do is extractors, the old ones are not cool
