Evan G
milk shake under the cap? steam out the bonnet? was it getting hot or was the gauge just showing high? how hot was the radiator hoses? somethings you should check before the next step. check the operation of the thermostat, water pump and radiator. removing the thermostat only covers the problem not solves it.
Jackson
Check ya radiator hoses, if the bottom is hot and top is cold ya thermostat is stuck shut. If its not your thermostat check ya flow across the top of your radiator, should be like a river if your water pump is good (let your car warm up with the cap off to check this) How old is your radiator? Mine recently started overheating at cruise speed (80-90k's) turns out the radiator was blocked up with shit loads of scale. If your coolant is really frothy or it is dumping heaps in the overflow tank chances are your head gasket is frucked.
Spencer[RL]
Pretty sure I've read in some manual that when a 4ac over heats it means it's crying for a 4age? I could be wrong?
