nerfbat Posted October 29, 2012 Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) hi guys, this build has been going on for a few weeks now, but only now can i collate the info and post pics etc for a rides thread always been a fan of the WRX's and my wife loves them too, and never realized how similar these babies are..! had we have known, a year or so ago, we would have bought one back then instead of a Territory for our family car... anyhow, skip to a few weeks ago: i was in my AE82 20V 4AGE corolla, and up beside me pulls this cute slammed Forester. it had that sexy subie thumper idle, and i figure i'll go easy on him, being a family wagon, and all, lol he left me for dead..! so after that day, i started researching, and reading as much as i could find, discover how similar they can be to the WRX's. finally today after many trade offers to different owners of the foresters, i got one here in Toowoomba more to come Nerfroster V2 starts here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/63284-wannabe-sti-forester-becomes-a-gt-forester/page__st__105 Edited March 8, 2013 by nerfbat Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

nerfbat Posted October 29, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) so, all the while i was looking into getting the ride height sorted, checking BC coilovers, Ksport, etc, til a guy on the ozfoz forums suggested trying his mates STi KYB struts, with Kings superlows, for cheap, before going to coilovers, as i was quoted 1.2-2.5k for coilovers so i met him at caboolture BP, looking like some dodgy carpark dealer, and raced them home to fit that following weekend cleaned, oiled and tidied them up comparison pic between the 2 guide to 'truck' height before install Edited October 29, 2012 by nerfbat Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
