Fun Fun City!!!

I travelled back to hobart from devonport this afternoon via the Great Lake Highway.

It starts at deloraine, and you rejoin the highway at Kempton, about 45min outta Hobart.

WHAT A f@$kING BLAST!!! :P :|

It starts on flowing, but bumpy country roads, then it tightens up into mountain passes, then into 30odd kms of gravel (as it passes Great Lake). Then the fun begins...

Coming off the Central Plateau into the Southern Midlands, its smooth, ultra-fast, flowing, deserted roads!! I was tapped in 4th at 5500RPM (didn't wanna push the 4k any harder), clipping apexes, spraying gravel!!!

Bloody wonderful. Pulled up at Bothwell, oil blown all over engine bay (need a catch-can) and boiling radiator (need antiboil)... :D

I don't think I hurt it badly. But christ she was flying!!!

Man, it was a blast. I highly reccommend this for anyone looking for a great day out. But remember that there is gravel...

DISCLAIMER- I'm not saying reckless speeds on open roads is a good thing. Always drive within your limits, and if you are gonna go out 'fanging', don't risk anyone elses life but your own. :)
