Also, i only have a T40 for the time being, that should mount right up shouldn't it?

You can get the gearbox crossmember from a TE31/TE37/TE38 as well. The shape and the bolt holes are different compared to the K crossmember. Then there are two bolt holes further back from where the K crossmember was bolted to in the chassis; they are allocated for the T crossmember.

this might be a dumb question but what years are the te31,37,38. are the t and k just to tell you what motor came in it? like a te31 is a e31 chassis with a t series? having a hard time finding the crossmembers and just want to make sure I'm searching for the correct thing.

Assuming it's in good condition you could just get the inlet and outlet on the orginal radiator cut and rewelded into the positions you need by a good radiator repair shop.

Also member Jordanrolla has finished his T engine into KE30 mounts - you should hit him up if you haven't already sourced a T crossmember. I know I will be.

Hmm, starter motor, coil, alternator, anti-dieselling solenoid, oil pressure warning light, water temp sender, earth leads, gearbox reverse lights connections should all be fairly similar. Give or take.

Some might be too short to reach and need some extra wire added or a different connector soldered.

Easily adaptable.

some will some wont. also most of the car is differant from ke to te. brakes are smaller, axle is smaller, if going manual you will need all the hydraulic parts for the clutch(i belive the column support as well) drive shaft, harness(what year is it? there were 3 diff harness types configureations for the 75-79 te3x more if you count the sr5 varients) radiator, springs. i have had a few and truthfully its easyer to buy/trade for a te car. it can be done but you need a doner car. where are you located in the u.s.? I'm in boise ID and have almost all the parts you would need. includeing the throttle parts. t40 trans is good, t50a seem to wear out quicker. also bell housing is the same between t40 and t50a. t40 came with a 210mm clutch and t50a a 200mm clutch.

how is your k engine trans? if local enough i would trade what you need for what you have. i have 2 '69 corollas (ke17 sprinter and ke18 wagon) and bolth need trannys and engines.
