HILUX = too big for daily use i reckon. I sense that our suggestions are falling on deaf ears....

first of all, you need to consider the stud pattern. A hilux is 5 stud yes? so do you want 4 stud wheels on the front and 5 stud wheels on the back? Hilux has been done a number of times, but usually they convert to 4 x 114.3 to match the front, or they convert the front to match the hilux diff. So either way you are up for a set of wheels, or modifications to axles.

We put a YR22 torago differential into a mates CA18det  ae86 years ago. the yr22 diff is an F series diff , which is the same as the altezza and some old supra i think (youll have to research), and 4 x 114.3 already.

To give you an idea on how much it costs,

diff from a junk yard - $400, Custom mounts to make it bolt in $300, custom 1 piece tailshaft - $400, aftermarket LSD KAAZ - $1200, Setup costs of the LSD into the housing and setup the gears - $300

Add it all up and not much change from $3000 just for the rear differential. also note you want to put in an aftermarket differential ONCE with whatever the most powerful engine is already in the car. Tail shafts are not cheap.
