KE20 front strut inserts.

Firstly, anybody know of someone that rebuilds old school Koni red / yellow strut inserts. I had mine rebuilt about 5 years ago but never installed. I have recently fitted them but one is not right. They are adjustable but adjusting does nothing. Toperformance said they are too old and they don't have parts for them any more.

Secondly. what are other people using if they need replacing?

Yeah Pete, I have just done the T3 coilovers because the inserts had been rebuilt. Now there is a problem with them and I don't want to waste more time and money on them.  If I had known before doing the T3 kit, I would have gone down a different path.

I'd laugh but I'm not much further either.

You would reckon that if a Golf insert fits, surely there would be an adjustable option available somewhere. I'd be asking Golf specialists in Germany or UK.

When I put the short body MR2 inserts in the front of my AE86 I used the technotoytuning spacers that double as the top nut. This places the insert low down in the strut body to reduce the possibility of bottoming out the piston.

I'd reckon some one of your skill and ingenuity could make something up like that, as long as you can find the right insert.

Another option I have read about is AW11 rear inserts which aparently are the smaller diameter (as compared to the larger diameter ae86/ae92 size).  used as a short stoke shock youll need to make a spacer if putting into std housing. Or shorten the housing.
