AE82 suspension upgrades!

Hey guys

I'm sure this has already been touched on somewhere, but I had a quick search and couldn't find exactly what I'm after.

I'm trying to look into suspension upgrades for my AE82 and I'm not having any luck at all lol.

What I'm after is everything and anything, I'll be building a track car soon as well as wanting to upgrade my street car, too!

I'm aware BC coilovers are available, anything else I have absolutely no clue. I'm interested in everything and anything! Even if I won't bother with certain bits I'd still like to know what is out there!

Any information would be much appreciated!

Websites, builds, people to talk to. I want to know what is out there suspension wise for an AE82 4 door hatch. (Not the seca)

Cheers!!

ooh a real twincam ae82. not many of those left. You might have to do some leg work yourself and ring up some proper suspension shops as sadly not many ppl playing with the ae82s anymore. Looks like much of the information is dissappearing off the interwebs

This might help you,

If it were me i would look into some proper shocks, KYB AGX,  koni or bilstein and then some slightly stiffer springs to suit. The car is so light that you dont need much spring, but good shocks make a huge difference.

Hey mate! I’ve got a 85 fx gt and I’ve heard that the old Starletts sometimes share the same suspension if you’re looking for more of a budget option, otherwise here in New Zealand MRPltd sell some really nice suspension for our car, but other than that like you said bc racing and I’m sure the Levins also have the same kinda set up :)
