there is a difference between early and late 2T blocks, so the starter motor won&#039;t bolt on if you got the wrong one&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
let&#039;s say you want to use a late model starter motor on an old block, you have to change the plate between the block and flywheel to the newer type.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
then you can grind off the little tap on the starter and mount it upside down, that worked for me :)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
late model flywheels is the lighest, but still way too heavy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
the T series engines codes are:2T, 2T-B, 2T-C, 2T-G, 3T, 3T-C and 3T-G&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Pushrod engine:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
the 2T, 2T-B, 2T-C, 3T and 3T-C are all OHV crossflow engines. They have the same bore 85.00-85.05mm. compression on the OHV engines is 163 psi apart from the 2T-B(170psi).&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
