Alternator Wiring Diagram
Here are a few diagrams to help you understand the alternator wiring on your 4AGE when doing your engine conversion. They are internally regulated so if you are converting an AE71 you can remove the external regulator.
( B+ ) - Battery Post - Heavy gauge wire that connects to the battery.
( S ) - Sense - Used to sense voltage across the battery to prevent overcharging.
( L ) - Lamp - Alternator charge Lamp (Turns off when alternator starts charging).
( IG ) - Ignition - 12V Ignition Switched Source
