Replacing front strut inserts on your KE1x

Finding it hard to find Shock Absorbers for your KE1x series? Doug (aka Felix) has an answer:

ke2/3/5x strut inserts will fit [a ke1x] with a 1" spacer.

if you have the original oil filled struts still, you are in luck. dismantle, take the inner cylinder and knock off the upper rod guide. bingo, you have a perfect sized spacer. slide the rod guide over the shock shaft of your new ke2/3/5x inserts and install into the strut bodies.
