I think my young bloke (Goose) posted on the ae club forum. I think that there is plenty of publicity about this. Its all about people sticking their hands up and telling us they were scammed. It can't go on forever. we can't make all this noise and then it turns out to be a minor thing. Anyway, I'm glad some of the blokes got their money back

I spoke to Joe again this afternoon. He has obtained Mickeys Bendigo Bank Statements and is desperately trying to find anyone who has been ripped off. He has repaid over $1000 today but is struggling to identify other victims of Mickeys indescretions. After discussion, my opinion is that people who have been scammed need to make contact NOW. Its no good waiting months then whinging about missing out. If you don't want to take the risk of supplying details to Joe, PM me and I will arrange to get your money to you. This guy is using his own money and his dads funeral savings to make these repayments. He and his family have taken steps to make sure that Mickey doesnt start this up again. We need to give Joe some credit for this. He's a nice bloke and is 100% genuine. Anyway, the bottom line is, if you have been ripped off and want your money back, either contact Joe direct (his number is on this thread), or PM me and i'll sort it for you. There is no need to harass the family. They are doing their best to fix this. I'm not going to do this forever, and nor should Joe have to, so pull your fingers out and get the details to one of us and then everyone can get on with life. If you do send details to me, please send the date, amount, where you paid it to and what it was for and obviously, who you are and where i can either send a Money Order or Bank Cheque. This will save you having to provide your bank details if you still don't trust them or me.

We are having a few wins. I believe this guy is fair dinkum. He has refunded my money and has provided me a lot of personal details and ID to confirm who he is. Hopefully the scamming is over

OK, anyone who is interested, Ive just spoken to a chap purporting to be Mickeys brother, and to his father. Both seem, on the face of it, to be decent blokes. I have done something i hope i don't live to regret. I have given "Joe" my bank a/c details so that he can refund the money that Mickey stole from me. I have obtained some personal details from "Joe" which I am in the process of verifying. I have also "rat trapped" my bank a/c, which, if anything other than transactions I have authorised occurrs, the A/C that attempts that transaction will be disabled and I will be notified. "Joe" tells me that someone made a threatening phone call which has upset his father, who has verified that to me, and he is a man in poor health and sounds like a nice gentleman to me. If you are considering any action, be it phone calls or visits, please hold off until I can see the results of "Joes" assurances to me. I have indicated to "Joe" that if this is another trick, hells gates will open. and a visitor (me) to the family home is a certainty. I have also offered to travel from Newcastle to Melbourne to meet with Mickey and his family to provide any assistance I can to sort this tawdry affair out to the satisfaction of all concerned. I have also offered to assist Mickey to get his life and affairs back in order. If I am being f***ed around again, my response to that will be appropriate to the circumstance. I warned "Joe" of that fact. In light of these developments, I again ask that anyone on this site that has been scammed, please PM me with every detail that you can recall. I will devise another method of getting your money back to you, which is more secure and protective of your privacy. I have placed a lot of trust in "Joe" at this point, and will know by Monday lunch if this offer is genuine. At that point I will post on this forum to advise members of the outcome. Please be aware that in my opinion, this will be the only chance we will have to fix this. No good whinging in 6 months that you didnt get your refund...The time is now. We can finish this (hopefully), and you blokes can get on with playing around with your cars and we can get some trust back into the game.

Oh and on a lighter note, my son finally got hold of a bloody pedal box. Its all ive heard about now for a month..pedal box this pedal box that. There are still lots of honest people out there, you only need to be careful. ( I don't even know what a pedal box does)

Mickey, I asked you at least 15 times to contact me. I phoned, left numerous messages and you ignored me. I did call your home number. Whats happening now is called paying the piper. You can't spend as much time as you have burning people and not expect repercussions and consequences. I feel very sorry for your parents....they must be so proud

As far as Mickey not being well....that is rubbish. He is well enough to be a thief and a liar and well enough to thumb his nose at all of us. I gave him the opportunity to sort this out and he threw it in my face. News Flash Mickey....if you want to play big boy games, sometimes other big boys might want to play too. TE... I'm constantly amazed at people like him that are happy to steal, cheat and lie, then hurl abuse at all and sundry when challenged, but wet their pants and trot out mum dad and anyone else they can find to plead for understanding. I have taken down his detail. don't believe anything that anyone at that number tells you. He was using that number yesterday trying to scam a pedal box. If Mickey hasnt contacted me by this time tomorrow, it goes back up
