I like the idea, but harassing people isn't in my nature.. I've got it booked in at spot on performance & fabrication at slacks creek... they've assured me worst case scenario is 8 hours at $88 p/h to weld on mounts to my current k-frame and setup a intermediate shaft to the steering column... If anybody reading this wants to take the job on, then by all means contact me... happy for my money or what goes around comes around to goto a fellow member over a shop..

I like that idea, the only problem I forsee is that it will bring the LCA's wider, right now it's at its limit with the s14 lca's.. Going to start ringing around shops that want to take the job on to make the mounts to my current k-frame because this part is beyond me.. Can anyone recommend anyone in Brisbane?

interesting read, i'm definitely not the type to slap things in and hope they work but so far have gotten lucky I must say with how it's been bolting in.. Only bit of cutting i've had to do so far is grind the top coilover bolt holes out a bit to fit them in and drill 1 hole per lca to fit the corolla adjustable castor rods. I shouldn't have a problem with tyre wear, etc as I have castor/camber adjustment with how it is at the moment.... well won't know until it goes for a wheel alignment... but I can't imagine it being out of wack to bad. That side of it anyway.... the steering rack side I have no idea. I'm no welder either so I might handover to a shop to just do this portion of the job as I need to get someone in to make the mounting tabs anyway...

Hi people, i'm trying to figure out what to do with a steering conversion problem on my TE51/KE55 Liftback Corolla. I'm putting in rack & pinion from a ke70 but currently have nissan S14 Silvia Coilovers+LCA's+Brakes. I have brand new S14 tie rod ends here but not sure which direction to head with for the ke70 rack. Does anyone know if S14 rack ends would work and fit in the ke70 manual rack? Otherwise i'm hoping the current ke70 tie rod ends will fit into the s14 hubs. Heading down to the shed tomorrow to check it all out, but was hoping someone has done it before :) Appreciate any help.
