hey there guys after a little bit of advice:
we are chucking a 3k in a KE55, sent the flywheel away for resurfacing as the previous clutch was put in backwards damage to springs and flywheel bolts. was told that the clutch replacement we have is not gonna work.
we purchased a direct match from Exedy and test fitted against flywheel unbolted and there is a large gap between the clutch cover and the flywheel
my questions are
Do i have the wrong clutch or flywheel?
Will this close up ?
Will it effect performance of clutch ?
Can this safely be machined down as the problem seems to be from the 2mm step up
ive attached a few pics of flywheel, clutch plate and the gap between the fly and clutch cover
thanks guys any advice would be very much appreciated
