hey all this is my first post here just signed up, anyhow ive been reading alot of posts about changing from hydro to solid in a 5k....well today i scored some chev/holden solids for $4.02 each thats kiwi dollars too. so $32.04 later i have some.i have the 4k adjustable rocker gear but now its ummm n ahhhh about the pushrods. I'm reading theres a million different options depending on things.

so ive got dished pistons shallow head and a fair wack taken off, will be running a fairly agro cam too, i think its duration @ .050" camlift: 250 lobe seperation: 108

anyhow the lifters compress just a little when you squeeze them...is that normal for the chev solid.i know it looks like a toyota hydro but yea...how will that work with the rocker gear?will i lose valve lift from the small compression? (if that makes sense)

and then theres which push rods do i go for? i have 5k hydro ones which are no good as they are round at each end, i have what i think is 4k rods and thats it,and i don't want to buy 5 sets to see which fit so I'm hoping someone here can help me out as the chev conversion seems popular in aus.

cheers

Chris

You need to use Datsun A12 /1200cc pushrods.
