  1. Need to start rebuilding this i have new rotor housings ... let the funz begin
  2. Thank you to all the toyota ke70 owners out there i have found all the information i need to do my 12a rotary conversion , fender flaring , wheel fitment (might go 15x10/9 rear , 15x7 front ) decided to get megan racing coil overs and use the ke70 spindel with a make an adaption sleeve for it to fit in to coilovers the ke70 struts are 45mm and the ae86 is 50mm, i will have to make a custom header to clear the steering linkage , as for rear end i am going with a hilux diff not sure which one but if i an not getting the rn40 i willl have to shorten the diff once i collect all parts and start the build u will create a build thread
  3. thanks for the advice what about a better locking angle how can i achive that i was told to use ke70 spacers on a ae86 race , but if i decide to keep the ke70 rack how can i get more angle. any advice guys i am new to this stuff i normaly go in stright lines thanks
  4. ok i was told that the cressida rack could work on the ke70 , i was also told that the ae86 rack and ps could work also , i think my dx has rack and pinion not the steering box so i am unsure as to if i should leave it as is or add the ps
  5. can i use the powersteering setup from a cressida or crown ????
  6. after some research i have a candidate for the ke70 rear end RN40 Hilux 2wd rear diff assembly. 4.3 ratio 30 spline axles 5x114.3 PCD 1410mm wide (Same as AE86/KE70) All i need to do is find one locally (trinidad and tobago)<- its an island in the caribbean hopefully this will stand up to the about 400+hp this rear end is not set in stone as yet as i don't know if its available however i do know that we have some old rear wheel drive cars in the toyota crown and the toyota cressida does any one have any info on these rearends ??
  7. havent made up my mind yet as to NA or turbo , i can get about 280+ HP from a 12abp using terminator2 carburetor , if i decide to go turbo well i am looking at around 350+Hp , how hard is the hilux diff conversion ? should not be to hard , i am currently download some workshop manuals for the car to get a better idea of its suspension details , u am usually going in a straight line (1/4 mile) with my rx2 . its time to get sideways i am thinking about getting ae86 coilovers (megan racing ) or buying and modifying the ae86 struts and making my own coil over as for chassis braces magen racing all the way they have some braces that fit the ke70 well thanks to some experimenting by the dealer here i was able to get hold of this information Oh the reason why i have not made up my mind yet as to weather to go turbo or not is due to the header issues and the steering box linkage to the rack , hopefully there is enough space for me to make a turbo manifold and i will work out the down pipe afterwards lol wish me luck guys
  8. OK i am from Trinidad And Tobago i don't have readily access to corona parts i do how ever have acess to the parts of the following any datsun ae86 any Mazda rx hillux old mistubushi lancers / galant My plans for this car i am going to put a 12abp rotary N/A or turbo (not sure yet) in it . I alsos want to put power steering also , not sure how this is going to work out seeing that the exhaust is on the same side with the steering box linkage , i want full suspension upgrade ( for drifting ) i will use a rear end form a hilux to handle the power of the rotary so no problems there my main any advice on what route to take would be nice .
  9. i have a 83 DX KE70 it is the model show in the link below (thats not MY car ) i would like to know what suspension modifications could be done to it , i have read that on this model the ae86 front struts and rear shock can be bolted on directly however the front struts would need tierod ends from the as86 as well , this is the first toyota i have ever owned , i have been in to mazda,s previously (rx2) , i have a 11-second 12a all motor rx2 drag car with stock chassis , i am currently planning on putting a 12abp in to the corolla and then setting it up for drifting , how ever my first objective it to get the car suspension changed to something a bit easier to get shocks for any advice would we nice thank your for your help in advance gary http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=58094
