  1. What car did you get your extra leaf out from for you ke20, been searching round can't find one thatl fit a ke20
  2. Yeah i got a quote for $250 for custom made coils for the front plus shortstroke shocks made for an extra $600. $850 is quite expensive just to lower the front of the car haha. But i think I'm going to have to do it. Cheers for all your guys help
  3. Hey Guys. Ive started to lower my ke20. Ive reset the back leafs and put in 2inch blocks. I want to drop the front about 50-60mm. I got told from people at a few suspension shops and they said id have to get them custom made? Does anyone know any aftermarket superlow springs that would fit the front of the ke20/
  4. Thanks for your info. its very helpful! yeah i was thinking of 4age turbo but its been done alot! i want something different. ca18det isnt Rare but is still different to the common 4age conversions. That 12 grand is a good indication, as id do some of the work myself. So i think 10g would be around just enough. I could buy a fully completed car but i like the satisfaction of building a car from ground up.
  5. Yeah i always here about ca vs sr arguments! theyre both allgood and both cna make a plenty of power. I just want to know if i can do it in a 10g budget. i think if i did ca18det id make it more than i would with a sr20det
  6. Haha Your Two Cents is helpful! Well in Newzealand There is a certification System befor you can get a WOF (warrent of Fitness). you take it to a place and they checkout all your modifications and see if its all safe and done properly etc and thats around 400-500 NZ dollars. Oh and in New Zealand There is none of that. CC to Weight Ration thing. Like you could put a 5l v8 in a ke20 and itd be algood if you don't it all properly etc? if you get what i mean?. Yeah i have 10g and i want to do the ca18det or sr20det. I'm not to worried about the power difference. i know theyre both good engines and both have advantages and disadvantages. I think I'm heading along the ca18det line jsut because of the 10g budget.
  7. Yeah thats cheap. But yeah you gota look for the bargins. But I'm still unsure of the 10k budget?
  8. yeah there is big disscusions about ca or sr. Sr will be a lot more expensive? and i think i wouldnt manage it in a 10g budget?
  9. Yeah id try do as much as i can myself. To save to Coin. But yeah i have 10k and can't spend anymore. I don't watn to get into and run out of money =/
  10. Hey Bro. Still a daily drive. i want to be quick but not to pathetic for street.
  11. Hi Guys, I'm looking at putting a ca18det into my '72 Ke20. I have a $10,000 budget and just wodnering if it is possible to do that conversion with this budget. And what custom parts will need to be made. Like engine mounts? cross memember? gearbox Tunnel?
  12. Yeah Thats my problem. one wheel fits nice inside guard. but the otherside it sticks out a bit and rubs on the tyre
  13. Yeah sure thing. my lears are just old and worn alot. I'm trying to find a thicker leaf that i can put in my leaf pack to make it a bit stiffer. don't know what will fit tho.
  14. Will They Fit ke20? Its rubbing on the outside. ive had my guards rolled (lip removed) but i think the diff is offset on the ke20's becoz on one side the tyre fits nice in the guard but on the other side the tyre is out of the guard. Is it posible to get your guards flared like 5mm or something, using the guard rolling machine?
  15. 185/14s. I need new shocks for it, i don't want to put standard ones in. i want shortened. i heard that hiace front shocks, fit in with a tiny bit adjustment, Thanks for your help on this topic
  16. Cheers, I don't want it extremely hard, i just want it so i can lower it down to a certain height without it scrapping on the guards with pasengers
  17. Hey Guys, Ive Got a ke20 and my back suspension is extremely soft. I have two people in the back and its starts scraping on the tyres. Does anyone know certain types of thicker/heavier leafs that'd fit in and a shorter shock thatd fit in to. Want to get it stiff so that i can lower it right down without it having so much movement Cheers
