Na mate i think the cars are mad, hence why I'm looking into getting one. if i just wanted something cheap to thrash id probably buy an eb falcon or something lol

I didn't realise i was posting to a bunch of Tracy Grimshaw fans. I havent mentioned the word drift, the way you guys go on and on about it paints the image of ripping up the handbrake and smoking up the road past a few pedestrians. Over run by questions about illegal activity? Put your skirt back on! And all bullshit aside, this website would not be shut down because of one topic that hints towards driving illegally, realistically. t18drifts, thanks for the advice, honestly appreciate it mate :)

No, i was saying that being licensed for 2 years doesn't give me the experience i have. But i have made up for it through other avenues. Trying to point out that i don't just think i have experience because i've been driving for 2 years - was trying to distinguish myself from a typical P plater. My point was that outside of this topic people don't know what experience i have, so why comment on it.
-
I tried to ask the question the right way, i know I'm not a drift king and i stated that i understand P platers are stereotyped like that. I clearly tried to distinguish myself from that sort of run of the mill young c@#t. You older blokes seem to give us no leniency, i try to be respectful and all the rest, i try to keep it on topic but i continue to cop shit about everything but what i actually asked about. When creating a username in future forums and future posts ill be sure to no link myself to a P plater in any way. Lesson learnt!

Another saying i have no experience, how do you know this? an unanswerable question because you have no f@#king idea who i am or what experience i have, and there is no need to talk about it. But you still jump in and have a dig when over and over ill say i don't care what comments you have to make about me as a driver. I asked a question, you clearly can't/won't answer it so why have a stab at me? is that how you get off? I have a growing interest in corollas and joined this site in hope to learn more about them. I read over the rules and regulations to see that this trolling is frowned upon as on most forums, yet you guys want to woffle on about how inexperienced i am as a driver. I don't have a go at you for being more cautious then my grandmother because i don't know or care who you are. I asked for your opinions on cars, not for you and your boyfriends to have a winge about all this other bullsh!t.

Definitely agreed

Whats wrong with an xr6? Who are you to jude wether or not i can control a car yet? for all you know i could have been racing go karts since i was 9 and going to track meets with my brother in his s14. I could have spent more time behind the wheel of higher power cars than you, why do you think you have any idea what experience i have. you don't. I could school you on a track racing, you could leave me for dead. The point is you have no f#@king idea based on this topic. Your so uninformed yet your willing to judge. Read the topic, i simply want to know what corolla will slide better, but you also jump on the ban wagon. You point the finger at me claiming i'm prepubescent yet your online trying to demean a younger bloke who really doesn't give a f#@k how experienced you think he is when it comes to driving. Do you go from topic to topic looking for where you can get stuck into someone where you know you have support of others? Does it make you feel good about yourself? I'm not going to go 'drifting' through suburban streets or flying up a freeway, but i think midnight in an industrial area 10km from any homes or busy streets is a different matter. I started this topic to find out what car i should be looking in to, and i'm swamped with these comments that are missing a suggestion in relation to the actual question.
-
Get off your high horse mate. Stupid for listening to him? how do you justify that? have i gone out and done what this guy is sugessting? all ive done is simply thank the bloke for his suggestion. All i wanted to know was what models will slide better, but instead you guys jump on the ban waggon knowing that you have the support of each other to create an argument. I know P Platers are stereotyped and they are in/cause more accidents. If i wanted to hear about that s#!t i would of created/found a topic on P Platers driving like f#@kwits. Thanks to those who suggested a model :) To the others who havent, thanks for your concern but i have a mum who does a good enough job of that :y:

How long ago was this? times have changed. I know of a guy who had his FG F6 defected 2 weeks after buying it brand new, it was unmodified but the copper was adament that no car came factory fitted with a front mount. The guy had to provide a roady and took a long a letter from his local ford dealer regarding the factory front mount. And yeah the AE86 seems to be the way to go, thanks

Thanks for the advice man
-
Wouldn't the 'super stiff' suspension setup be better for sliding?
-
Google it? c'mon mate. Cuts sprigs and a locked diff is definitely defectable, but in Vic the highway patrol will stick a canary on the window of an untouched car if they are in the right mood. They hound little things like tint, parker lights, width of wheels. My point is if they wanted to defect an old rolla down here it wouldn't have to have cut springs and a locked diff. Cheers for the input though :)

This is actually more along the lines of what i expected to hear haha But thanks for all the comments :)
-
By no means do i think that i'm a drift hero or even an experienced driver for that matter. But none the less point taken, and sorry about your mate. Thanks

I've been on my Ps for 2 years, and know that doesn't give me a world of experience. But I had an old corona as a paddock basher for a few years before getting my license, have nearly written off my ba xr6 (not proud of it but as you said it does happen) and i'm not going to go driving like a dick past primary schools and up main streets. I don't see the point of waiting till i'm on my open license and jumping in a modded car if i can start in a less powerful car now. I play around in my ba but its a bit of a boat and i don't want to go touching gutters or anything in it, if you get where I'm coming from? thanks for the help :)
