  1. Got most of the sound deadening out today, took a few hours and still need to clean out all the chips from the car! Peter and I have decided to go with the 4age, mainly on the assumption that its easier than the sr or ca swap :) Here are some photos of the last few days of tinkering around till I get the garage! Plus the photo for Ben of the diff
  2. 0.0 Sounds like a plan for tomorrow since it will be nice weather in Melbourne tomorrow! Another question, does anyone make cross members? We were thinking of putting a sr or rb into it and make it into a power house but were unsure of cost and stuff like that.. or would a 4age provide with ample power?
  3. Considering its going to be a drifter, is it worth taking out the sound deadening? is there much weight in it?
  4. haha cheers ben! I'll take some photos for you tomorrow when I get a chance :) Spent a few hours today cleaning out the bum fluff and taking out the glue off the floor using wax and grease remover. ITS THE WORST JOB EVER, But the bonus is that the exterior black strip is removed and same with the adhesive sticky stuff+most of the spray paint is now gone too.. As for the rust I was planning on cutting out the sections of rust and welding a plate over the top and putty over the top (yes, i know its not a good solution but its the best i can do) Has anyone got any solutions to either of these? mainly the glue as its giving me the most trouble, as in what is the easiest way to remove it?
  5. Note** I do have all the interior, just most of the photos were taken after the work was done.
  6. Hi all! this is mine and my mates new ride.. needs a lot of work, and I can't exaggerate enough about the a lot part.. When we went to inspect the car we were originally looking at the KE70 wagon but it wasn't worth our time.. he had about 5 in total and in the dark this looked like the cleanest one, yet we were deceived, Instead of driving back home and thinking about it we gave him 300 for it and drove it home. Although, I know people will hate the fact I have spray painted the car 4 of my other mates did it because the all knew I was planning on shaving it all back and repairing the rust. At this stage the plan is to clean up the inside of the car (remove dirt, dirty bum fluff, and any other build of other peoples years of driving this) Repair the rust as best I can, its mainly all in the rear quarter panel at the bottom otherwise its straight.. for 300 dollars. The rest is still to come updates will be given asap :)
