Gary, thanks for the suggestion. for around $50, i may as well try a new window regulator.

I am having the same problem as Scotty.bmx with my AE92 corolla. My driver's side window becomes twisted and pops out of the mechanism that winds up and down. I took the door apart and put the window back in the slot at the top of the winder mechanism. It worked for about a week and then the original problem happened again. There doesn't seem to be anything holding the window to the winder mechanism except the rubber lining the slot at the top of the winder. Also, The window doesn't slide smoothly up and down in the tracks in the door. Can the tracks be lubricated in some way? Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
