  1. Thanks Buddy! Unfortunately, the belt on both pillars are fixed and the end of these belts have a metal plate through which the belt is looped. On this metal plate is a small lock device which looks like an upside down nail head, How does this locking device attaches to the retractable belt and then locks into the third belt is not understandable. I saw a similar three point seat belt system in a vintage Mercedes Benz. some days back. What I saw in the Mercedes, the metal plate through which the floor mounted retractable seat belt loops through, had a 'Key-Hole' like provision' to Hook the upside down nail like device on the pillar mounted seat belt - the KE 20's seat belt has no such provision. So, I am still seeking help from other members of this forum.
  2. Hey everybody! I have been working on my KE 20 Toyota Corolla from the past many years. This is a four door Japanese domestic 1974 Hi Deluxe model. The car is almost completed but at the moment, I am facing a problem with the 'Three Point' seat belts. Could anyone help and let me know how do these seat belts work?? I know that the retractable belt is installed near the floor behind the driver's seat (right hand) The fixed belt is installed on the driver's right hand pillar and the locking belt is installed somewhere near the handbrake - not sure of the exact location. If the retractable belt goes into the locking belt (near the handbrake) how does the belt installed on the pillar link with these two?? I only have three belts per front seat. Help with pictures will be appreciated. Thanks Peto
  3. Hi, I just checked the link you mentioned and (please correct me if I am wrong) the manual is of a 1976 Corolla and not 1974. Still, I am sure it will be a great source of information for people who own a 1976 Corolla - thanks for sharing! Peto
