  1. one of the plug wires ends that hooks to the spark plug wasn't connecting, it was bent.
  2. nevermind figured it out, thanks for your help
  3. well i tried doing that, but i don't think my check engine light works for some reason, i put a jumper wire to try and set the check engine light off, but it didn't flash, and i didn't know how to fix it or why it stopped working so i couldn't set the ecu
  4. ok when you say wrong resistance on the injectors, thats what i thought it was to because before i put new plugs in it, just to see if that was why it was running bad, two plugs were white, they had gotten to hot, so the car was running lean, but i never checked the resistance on them.
  5. what do you mean, because the little dots that you line up with 12 and five, they both line up, when i put it to top dead center.
  6. i got another dizzy and still ran the same, also all the lines seem to be right there all hooked up. this is something ive been trying to figure out for about two months.
  7. i tried that also, i swapped it out with one from my buddies car and it still ran bad.
  8. ok i have an 86 corolla gts, i swapped motors from stock 4age to an jdm 4age, so its the same motor, and here's my problem, i went to start it up and it wouldn't crank, so we messed with the timing and finally got it running ok, but still backfiring, but i have been working on this problem for two months, i have set the timing to many times, also it won't run where the timing is suppose to be, i have to move it, just to get it to stay running, but again it misfires and backfires like the timing is off and i took pictures and posted them on another website just to make sure and the timing is right, also its has compression and new sparks plugs and wires, so if anyone could help please do so, and the injectors are firing.
