  1. Yep, i can do as many pics as you like of everything... but it'll have to be later on tonight when i have time. Yes i have heard that about the A12 rods, but the eninge is running holden bent 8 hydro lifters and ball to ball rods 150.5mm long so yeah... As it turns out though the "new but too long toyota 5k rods" are exactly 8mm in diameter, which is exactly the same as what we have bent soo, i still think it is a toyota pushrod that we are trying to get but of different length to what the local parts department call a 5k rod. I'll get some pics up tonight. Thanks guys :sob: Dave
  2. Yep, we have hydro holden 302 v8 lifters in it and we assume it is the standard 5k rocker assembly although the engine has a 3k head on it. The engine is pretty worked, i can't remember all the details but they are flat top pistons with a little over 11:1 compression. The standard lenght of the pushrods that were in it were 150.5 - 150.6mm and definetly looked just like a toyota item. the new one that toyota gave us measures 157mm so Xany is spot on with what toyota reckon is a 5k pushrod. So what the hell are the 150.5mm pushrods in the engine? they are supposed to just be 5k ones! :sob: Thanks for your help guys.
  3. Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with getting some pushrods for a 5k. We bent two last season and have been chasing some replacements, unfortunatly with poor results. The local toyota parts department got us in what they called a 5k pushrod but it ended up being way too long compared to what we took out  . The ones we had in the engine measured 150.5mm from the tip to tip and 8mm in diameter and looked identical in design to the "new but too long" ones toyota gave me, so the ones from the engine where definatly a toyota looking item. I tracked down some crow cams ones which are bloody strong but may be causing some valve train problems :hmm: . I'd like to get a set of toyota pushrods back in there if possible, so i guess i'm chasing any information about what length the toyota 5k pushrods are actually supposed to be? or if there are a few different types? We are almost certain they are supposed to be just the run of the mill 5k pushies . Any toyota guru help will be great. Dave
