thanks just a strut i bought off a strut regas guy that he orded for me it is only 290mm long fully extended when i fitted it he came back and filled it with gas to suit the weight of my bonnet

i put a single stainlessteel gas strut centre mount on my 71 ke25 using custom brackets a bit of stuffing around but it looks neet

i had my ke25 hinge's repinned +rebushed for about $80 modifying ford ones
