Hey guys, I'm my mate is wrecking a ra65 which is just going to end up going for scrap metal. now he said I can grab any part off it I really want. So my question is, what parts should I pull off it to put on my ke70? you can suggest parts to use with certain setups, for example I know the brakes fit on AE86 coilovers, So use I'll use them. So anyone got any ideas? :hmm: cheers
-
No I haven't taken it for a thrash (this will clear up the carbon wont it?) so the timing out wont be anything serious? just move the dizzy? and whats the stock timing set at? If i take it apart and brake say a gasket, I wont know what carby it is to get a rebuild kit :( Ive been told to spray carby cleaner around the base of the carby, if the revs pick up then its a gasket leak?
-
so those carby rebuild kits come with them? or do I needa full rebuild do you think? should carby cleaner get rid of the dirt?
-
okay, would it only happpen randomly? I noticed the revs are pretty low as well when it comes to a stop. Any more ideas?

Hey guys, I know this has been asked and answered before, buy I can't find it in search. anyways, makes KE70, with a 4k. Has a carby similar to a older 4k (less emissions or something the last owner told us) however when stopping sometimes, (randomly) it will stall at the lights, however performs good once you are driving around. a quick tap the accelerator keeps her going. what are the main reasons and whys to fix this? cheers

Cheers guys, now that you say that... a few week before it hit the shitter.. the point where the clutch engaged - had alot more throw... hmm! is there a diffences in clutches for the t50 gearbox? (sorry, total noob when it comes to corollas :no2:

Hey guys, Just woundering what the problem could be with my gearbox - its a ae71 with a 4ac and t50 gearbox? I was about give it abit of stick up a hill (hate hill starts anyways...) anyways i revved to about 3k and slowly let the clutch out... that was all good untill i went to go into 2nd, I put the clutch in, shifted into 2nd and let go of the clutch... then my car free revved - it was no longer in 'gear' ... so i rolled to a stop. i then tried to put it back into 1st to take off and nothing... so i tried all gears and nothing... so i then i though, stuff it! i wont use the clutch... and put it into first, no crunching, just slipped in and it seems like the car wont 'engage...' I checked to see if the clutch still had fluid, it does.. So what could be the problem? gearbox mashed? clutch f@$ked? any suggests what to look at ?

Haha, You'd be surprised. but saying that our 2nd butterfly was not opening on the stock carby. hahahaha I think I remember that, Atm we don't have it wired up and it seems to be going just fine, cold starts and everything. Going to try and better tune it this weekend

Hey Guys, The Story: So I got word through a friend that his mate had a cheap AE71 for sale.... So i told my mate who was looking to buy a car, went and had a look at it and brought her for cheap but had a few problems to fix up, Since it had problems it became more of a 'joint project' on weekends to fix, so this is our build. first drop, the survo to top up the radiator (had a leaky water pump gasket....) filled up 8 liters of water and headed to maccers. History: used to have a 4agte in it, seemd to have a abit of a wild set-up... MODS: ENGINE 4AC that’s been to the moon and back Old shitty sparkplugs No air filter for colder intakes +25 kwz A leaky water pump that sometimes hits the fan and sprays the radiator sort of... like a C02 spray for intercoolers but better because it’s cheap. No Muffler.. louuuuddddd! DRIVETRAIN One big f**koff one piece tail shaft T50 5 Speed Gearbox Welded ae86 diff Decent clutch SUSPENSION AE86 Springs And Struts lowered SemiSlicks TOYO R888 7 wheels dunno specs, they are 13/4” White walls wheels INTERIOR 0.45 cents Dirt No carpet Hidden frangaz Steering wheel covers REAL SHEEPS WOOL (may not be real) Some JDM stickers Elcheapo drift handbrake button EXTERIOR Slant front 3x ns stickers 1x upullit racing stickers Few dent HARDLY ANY RUST Things to fix Water pump gasket needs abig tidy up! < 4A POWAH!

Hey guys, I have looked around and i can't seem to find much. just wondering, where abouts do these lines hookup to? these three lines seem to all go into one.. So what do these lines do? and what are they needed for? and what do you suggest i do? (its not going on a MR2?) and heres the flooding of photos.
-
Thanks Sbox and Brown, Ill look more into tomorro night got study to do atm :) (Looked at the TCCS websites loooks good thanks heaps!)
-
Okay, So I know what way the Pully spins: Clock wise duh. And the outlet and In let.. But now! I still don't know what the vac lines do. Also, what does the bypass valve look like? just like another pipe? IU have seen some ruff sketches of it on twin charge set ups... but still unsure Sorry if this is unclear xD
-
yeah, i know that it seem easy enought. But i was woundering how the air still flows? since the pully wont be moving?
-
Thanks, that didnt really explain those vacs lines though. How does it work on the MR2? (etc etc) any ideas? Then how is the 'clutch'ment to work?

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole SC14 game. I have seen this supercharger on any other cars before and i wanted to give my car a shot. I'm currently trying to put this on a Ford TX5 V6. but i have a few questions (Sorry if these questions have been asked before, but I looked for three days.. even on other sites but didnt find out much) First Question. Does it matter what way the pully spins? -because, it spins both ways, so does it matter what way it spins? I'm sure it goes clockwise? what side is the right side up? (what side is top) Second Question, In the red there are those VAC lines, there are now Three So what do they plumb into? I keep thinking they are the by pass vacs for when the clutch isnt on... but I could be wrong.. Althought the guy i brought it off ebay told me this "vacuum lines coming out of the end plates ARE important. They are used to equalise the pressure on each side of the oil seals. I'm not sure exactly where they are meant to hook up to but ignoring them will result in oil and grease being sucked through the seals and blown out." I had been told that they should plumbed before the TB? my dad said that they should go into a oil catch can tank xD Hope to get some help! Thanlks Heaps Guys!!
