Hi All, Main aim is too keep it original as possible, just need to sort out the interior headlining and the stalling problem when idling, sometimes it won't stall at all, other days it can be a big nuisance. Soon, will be waxoyling it underneath, rust is the main problem in the UK, especially winter when they put salt on the roads. Regards
  2. Hi all, apologies for being a nuisance to the moderators. from now on, ill answer any questions you have about the car at link below, probably more appropriate. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=24337 regards awamal

Hi guys, thank you for the comments. the engine is 1100cc with an automatic gearbox, don't know how many speeds, believe it might be 2. Haven't really had the chance to really push it further than 40mph, probably too scared that the engine will blow up. JiP_01, just wanted to ask you a question since you seem the type of person who knows, sometimes the car will cut off when it is idling, not great when you are at the traffic lights....do you know what it could be, had a few suggestions that i should change the leads and distributor. Any ideas guys? Also just to answer your question, the car does not have a dash light adjuster, eventhough there is space to fit one in.
  4. sorry forgot to attach a picture of the bonnet
  5. Hi JiP_01 sorry for the late reply, attached bonnet pics, vents included, also as promised pics of the seats (very comfortably) just have a question to ask, do you know what that knob does near the base of the handbrake, i know you can tighten or loosen it?. also you are quite right, in that i only have parking brake light. in the picture you provided, whats that next to the manual choke, don't seem to have it on mine.

Hi all, I'm Ali and reside in the UK, Its wonderful forum you have here, i have gained alot information and hopefully will continue to do so. Recently had purchased this car from ebay, just washed it today and had taken some pics, thought to myself might aswell share with others. the car has been well looked after, only 3 owners, me being the third, has only done 56000 miles.....hopefully if maintained it will keep on going. just going to add the chrome trim on the bonnet, and some chrome mirrors. plenty of praises for uncle silvia (KE70 owner) has been very helpful too  these cars are quite a rare sight, alot of people have come up to me saying that its wonderful car, takes them back to good old days :D anyway thats enough of me talking, see below for some eye candy!! (according to me anyway) :)
  7. apologies for the late reply. unfortunately not many old corollas left in the UK, i was lucky to get this.........occasionally you might see a ke70 but still, ive never seen a ke20 or ke30 before in my life. people do comment on the car, generally everyone like it but commonly think its a Datsun rather than Toyota. the bonnet does have vents, ill see if i can upload a clearer picture tomorrow.....took those pics in the rain. the car seats are original, it has been well looked after, has a clean interior. the only thing the interior needs is a new headlining or for it to be repaired, hopefully thats in the near future. there is park brake light on the right hand side, unless you mean something else. only addition i have made is the car alarm and immobiliser system. the passenger side mirror is just reflector, have ordered new chrome side mirrors should go well with the car. thank you for the positive comments
  8. Cheers both of you. Just want to make sure it runs well, especially during the winter, hence best to take precautions earlier on. In terms of rust, I have some Hammerite and Waxoyl stuff, hopefully that should do trick.
  9. Hi Guys, Its my first post, so please bear with me. I recently bought a Toyota Corolla KE30 (pictures attached), and now that winter is approaching here in the UK, needed advise on whats the best way to looking after it? And what should I especially look out for? Any input would be great. Regards Ali
