  1. yep, it's the tercel then. i know that box wagon... just did a checkup on the Z54F, i can't find hardly jack about it... *15 minutes later* and now i know why... apparently the Z52F and Z54F trannys can't hold power worth crap from what some say while other's say differently. the G58, R150F and R151F are pretty much direct replacements for it. almost, forgetting the 1ZZFE, 2ZZGE, 2AZFE, 1NZFE, 2NZFE... anything A series, NZ series, ZZ series, ZR series, SZ series and so on... C series on countless numbers of engine families. right now if i can't seem to find the right tranny, i'm either going to have to deal with an E15XF series or use a C59, C60, E350 or E351 and stay FWD... *stumps on floor* BUT I DON' WANA! :) i'd go for one of the RXXXF trannys, but that's a huge sacrifice on top end... i want to stay at least at my stock 133 gear limited or rather be around 145-160. so far the only trannys are the trannys i listed above *E15XF series, C59, C60, E350 or E351*.
  2. wasn't the S51 i know that... most of the S5X series were used for earlier Camry, MR2, Solara and Celica models apparently. though i find even what i just mentioned to be a bit off seeing as most of the Camrys, MR2s and Celicas i've dealt with have had C and E series transmissions... as for the E series, last I knew, if it had anything to do with 4WD operation, it was all wheel drive all the time. for example the E50F, E150F, E151F, E152F and so on with the non-F series being front wheel drive only. this is where I'm getting stumped at... cause the tranny I'm looking for is controllable between 2wd and 4wd rather then just AWD all the time. but yes, I'm talking about the Wagon corolla, the earliest form of the Altrac before it turned into full time AWD. I really don't want to resort to getting a E15XF series, damn things have way too much grinding issues due to the poorly designed syncro mechanics in them.
  3. Hey Guys! i've been a rolla fan, amongst other toyota models, for some time now. i've got some "playing" plans i'd like to get going on... my problem is, i can't seem to find the model code for the transmission used for the older 4WD corollas. my suspicions lead me to believe that it's either the R150F or R151F but i haven't been able to confirm this. was wondering if anyone here could tell me what model code it is and it's gear ratios? i've been searching for a while now and can't find anything. even went down to several shops to see if they were able to supply me with a model code but can't get anything other then a part number. thanks for the help in advance!
