  1. Thanks mate, I might just make up a nice polished alloy box and hide the lot!
  2. What I would like ideally is to have a bare engine bay that has as least clutter and wires as possible. I want the car to go as best as it can and the bay to be tidy and clear. I am putting in an alloy container for the wiper bottle, alloy container for the overflow, a thermo fan so I can get rid of the belt fan and housing, custom battery box to hide the battery and wires, so what ever I can tidy up and get rid of, the better. Any suggestions?
  3. In Canberra I have registered several corollas with extractors and webers, they don't have the gear bolted up but I have never bothered to clear out the polution gear so thats why I wonder now.
  4. I guess I should clear things up a little, Can I totally clean up the engine bay from all the little hoses and crap or does some of it need to stay? If so then why? and what would happen if I just rip it all out? I don't particularly care if it's technically "Legal" or not. If it serves no purpose when it doesn't work with extractors and a weber then I just need to know if I can rip it all out or whether there are some hoses/stuff connected to seperate stuff or not.
  5. Oh ok, I have a 1981 Ke55 with a 5K put in it. If it doesn't work with extractors and a weber then what is the point of it taking up meaningless room?
  6. So what does that mean? The picture is out of focus too. And how is the polution gear supposed to run when I have extractors? There is no fitting for it like on the stock exhaust manifold
  7. Hi guys, I have just had my exhaust done and I will be changing the carbi to a 32-36 weber. When this happens, the polution gear will obviously need to go, what stays and what can go though? Can I totally clean up the engine bay from all the little hoses and crap or does some of it need to stay? If so then why? and what would happen if I just rip it all out? Cheers - Twitch
  8. Hi all, I am trying to get a set of rims and I am wondering what the offset is that I can push a set of rims to, and if anyone can explain a little about what offset is then that would be great. Oh and is the PCD on the Ke55 114.3 or 100? Cheers, Twitch
  9. Hi all, Can anyone tell me what stud pattern measurement I have? I have a 1981 Ke55 and I am after some nice wheels, also what offset should I look at? I'm not too familiar with all of this.
  10. Hi all, I am changing the Carbi on my 5K to a weber. On the rocker cover there are 2 hoses that seem to connect to the current carbi. When I change the Carbi over to the weber (and later the super charger) the weber won't accomodate these hoses but I am sure that they have a use. So.......what do I need to use/do to this change over to maintain the current hose use? And what are they for anyway? I have looked through my workshop manual however it doesn't seem to hold a section on it. Cheers - Twitch
  11. Hi guys, I am in the process of trying to buy some extractors, however I have notices that there are two different types. Can anyone tell me whether the 4-2-1 or 4-1 extractors are better for a 5K, and if so why? Cheers, Twitch
