Hi all!

 

I'm RJ from houston texas. I'm just 2 years old here in the US and was originally from the Philippines. Enough about me.... Let me introduce to you guys my Lil Red.

ok. now for some in depth info. my car is a 1987 (according to the driverside info plate) corolla fx. the engine has the all so famous 4A label on it and has an auto tranny. i think this car was the base car because the oem radio didnt have a cassette tape. :) The car only had 25Kmiles on it when i bought it. after driving it for about a year it has 33.5k miles now. yes, for an 18/19 year old car those are low miles.

 

since this is my first car, and i am still in college, i might not do alot to it. i need a reliable daily driver -period- and thats what this car is. -knocks on wood- iv done the typical 18 y/o maintenance stuff like flushing liquids and changing belts. iv also got the exhaust pipe just changed - from the cat to the new muff. since the audio system didnt have a tape deck i got a new pioneer cda/mp3 player. i also stumlbled upon a great deal on a sub system so i got those too. the subs are the most recent thing i got for the car. here are some pics again

what I'm looking at in the near future:

1. i definitely need to get the suspension changed. altho all i need are new struts i might also change to lowering springs. I'm currently looking for springs and struts for my car and just found a couple or so brands that fit my car :sob: are there parts from other cars that can fit my car?

2. i also need to change the rubber stuff that keeps water out (on the rear windows and hatch window) i guess those are just signs of aging o.o

3. i WANT to get non-restrictive intake for my carbed car but scared to touch the intake shell. i know there are sensors or whatever on that thing. what my very small imagination thought is just to buy a high flow filter and connect it to the intake tube and remove the round filter inside. i have no idea if that will work tho.

4. i WANT new wheels. don't get me wrong, my wheels are fine. its size is what kills me (13) I'm looking for OEM 14/15 wheels but am having a hard time looking for one.

 

what I'm looking at in the long run:

1. id definitely want to get a swap. maybe a 4agze, or a 4age 20v.

2. when the swap is done id want to get the internals ready for turbo.

3. a turbo with about 8-13 psi maybe....

4. maybe a little cluch mods.... and thats it for performance.

5. maybe some bodywork. the paint is original 19yo paint for heavens sake....
