JiP Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Got a pic?? The process of whitewalling the tire has them use a grinder and they grind a ring around the tire while it is spinning on a machine. So the paint sticks to it. (Probably doesn't make sense.) Quote
drdenski Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 What you're saying makes sense, hence why he would want the tyres off the car before he comes round I suppose. Sorry I don't have any pics at the moment. At a guess there's approx an inch and a half of tyre wall, 2 inches at most. But I guess if a ring gets ground into the tyre wall the brand name and everything else embossed onto the wall wont really pose much of a problem. Tyres look a little similar to the pic on the last page of the panel van someone spotted at dream world the other day. And it looks as tho he has a red and a white ring sitting comfortably on his back tyres at least. Thanks for filling me in on the process behind it. Quote
