Hi everyone, I have just got my hands on a nice 1980 k55 but it is minus one diff. I have rung a few wreckers to see if I can get my hands on one but as soon as I say k55 no one can help me. I was wondering if anyone knows if I have to get one out of a 55 or if there is other models with compatible ones????

ke30, ke35, and ke55 diffs should all fit. the earlier ones may not have sway bar mounts, and smaller drum brakes, but theyll still bolt up the same

i remember ringing a wrecker when i snapped the axles in mine, they wanted 185 bucks for a diff.

 

I ended up getting one off here for $20 just had to pull it out myself. Keep your eyes on the For Sale section.

what state you in? i have a ke55 one you can pull out yourself haha

holy shite thats expensive i got quoted $105 without sway (ke-30)

or $130.00 withg sway (ke-55)

cheers, yea I'm in SA, found one but they want $300 for it and thats more than I'm willing to pay so gona keep looking

What do U Pull it charge for diffs? They've always got a heap of KE3's and KE5's. Not a big job.
