why don't you ask for a cash settlement? That way, you get the money, and maybe you can find the panels at somewhere like u-pull-it (or what ever you have up there) that match your colour..... just a thought?

Unfortunately I don't have a fracking clue how to take off a panel or put a new one on etc etc. I'm fine with fuel, oil, changing tyres, filling up my radiator, getting my car serviced...but beyond that.

 

Anybody have any good recs for a night class in panel beating? lol

I've taken many KE3x/55 panels off. I can give a hand. As for the colour you might just have to paint it as close as you can get it for now and plan for a respray later.

I went to the place you recommended at the Gabba, and he quoted around $800. I'll see what RACQ says when I get my car assessed, and if they still want to write it off, I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer of help guys.
