hi there please help me i have a ae82 1988 rolla front wheel drive auto and it wont start..

 

Now we reversed out the driveway and it died on me i thought it might have been a bit cold because sometimes it does.. we have tried a few things and we just can't get spark plesse help thanks... much appreciated...

What have you tried?

 

What engine is it running?

 

Got fuel, just no spark?

check leads dizy cap rotor button plugs and then coil ballst resistor (if applicable)

ye mate tried dizzy new coil its got heaps fuel ye just no spark thought it mite have been immobiliser not shutting off properly but dissconnected it... its a 4C motor standard i just don't see how it was running then died and now wont start.. haha

i had the same problem in my celica it was running fine then i pulled into a servo and it stalled and then wouldnt start (i have electric dizzy in it) but i put a points dizzy into it and then it ran then stalled again but i found out it wasnt the coil or points it was a wire that was soldered together had a bad connection so i soldered it back together and then i started it and it ran fine and never missed a beat again!!! short story long check the wires from dizzy to coil then power to coil!!!

hey ye mate tried that all wires are good still don't know why its not sparking its trying to turn over but wont fire cos of no spark plz help need car for work thanks heaps guys...

could it be the dizzy or not still been playing and can't find anything...
