ok, lately daisy has not been starting so well. power also seems kinda down.

i have been in too much pain to do too much, but i went to the chiropractor today.

i feel great!!

ok so i started checking things

she used to fire up (warm) with a touch of a key. last couple of weeks it'll crank and crank then fire when the key is released.

so i checked to fuel pump relays. pump ran when running, but not when starting. hooked pump up directly to 12v and fires right off, still couldn't find anything wrong.

wiring harness? No. i swapped computers and suddenly it was working. bad ecu? maybe.

then i checked timing. now i have never owned a timing light, i usually set it by ear, and i have never had the specs for the 4KE. my starlet book says 4kc is 8*btdc. my old 3kc owners manual says 5*btdc. well, i got my first timing light for christmas so i tore it from it wrapping and checked it......5*btdc.....not a bad guess.

i set it at 8* then set the idle.

well, now power is awesome, i can't wait to get to the g/friends (lower altitude) to feel it out.....

it's all about the tuning i guess... :)
