Leakage, But Where From?

hey guys, I'm new to the rolla club, and bought my first toyota ever, its an AE82 4A-C corolla.

 

this weekend i fixed an airhose on the car, that runs from the rocker cover to the base of the carburettor, as i thought like a complete tool thinkin it was an oil line, as there was oil near the seal where connector slots into airhose from rocker cover. i clearly thought it was engine oil. my dad and i tried to fix the problem............the good thing is we've realised its not engine oil so now i'm asking has anyone had this problem, a mysterious leak that sprays under the bonnet and the firewall and have no idea what it could be?

though shall be seeing a mechanic this week though id rather know what it is and do it myself to save money
