if the oil cooler was on the motor originally i'd keep it.

If its anything like the ae92 setup it has a pressure valve in it, so the oil doesn't run through the cooler until you hit high enough oil pressure to open that valve. So basically you can't hurt the motor by putting the cooler on.

If its a wide open all the time setup then thats a bit different cos it will mean your oil will take longer to come up to temp, or it might not reach proper temp at all.

The best option is to use a thermo static sandwich plate. So it only opens and lets the oil flow when it reaches a high temp. this will protect your motor and work well.

Also i'd really suggest running a oil temp guage for a bit to see what the temps do.

But yeah if it was on it in the donor car, put it in the ke70 with the motor
