Rollazer Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) Recently I bought a second hand Corolla car, after buying only noticed that the gap of the rear car boot is quite big. Have some difficulties in closing it down - need to apply some force to push it down. What can we tell from this finding? Is that a design defect/flaw or the car has encountered an accident before? How to check the originality of the car boot? Finally, can it be repaired? Thanks, Rollazer Edited September 16, 2010 by Rollazer Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) Possibly you just need to adjust the clip the lock clips into. They can usually be adjusted. Two screws, loosen, lower till gap disappears. Or possibly your boot seals are not seating right??? If you can be bothered get in there with a torch and see where its hanging up while a friend who wont lock you in closes the boot. Edited September 16, 2010 by blzbub666 Quote
