Jordain Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I'm currently build a ke10 up. I bought a complete ke55 with a rebuilt 4k motor that has a 5 speed gear box. I did a mini rebuild on the motor to make it look good and cleaned everything in general, Got the 4k motor/5speed into the car and bolted it all up with no problems ( Except the transmission tunnel needs to be cut to get to the gear selector on the k50 ). Now my problem is the original ke10 Tailshaft Yoke doesn't seem to fit in the k50 gear box, the ke55 tailshaft yoke fits in but where the diff bolts up it doesnt fit on the ke10 diff. I am wondering what you guys normally do... I have previously just changed the yokes around although it has a different size pin on the yoke so I can't change it. I have a k40 gear box to play with, I think I read somewhere I can change the main shaft in the k40 box and slot it into the k50 which gives me the right shaft for the original ke10's Tailshaft Yoke to go on. Help much appreciated :) Regard's Jordain. Quote
